Good facilities, big room, great breakfast.
Wi-fi was hopeless.
Handy for overnight stay, staff was friendly and helpful.
live music till 12.30 so unable to get a good nights sleep.
Very comfortable bed with more than enough milk containers for 2 morning coffees.
Ironing board in corridor immediately outside Room 2 with dirty food plates on it. There had clearly been wedding guests in the room before me as there was confetti lying about unswept. I personally don't like all the cushions on beds which seems to be a fad in hotels currently. I didn't like the galvanised chimney from the kitchen outside my bedroom window which carried cooking smells into the room as both windows had been left open, presumably as it was so warm. I also got the smell of cigarette smoke coming in from the outside smoking area below my window. I was very disappointed that the Wifi was not working so I was unable to work on my LapTop in the evening as planned. I was also disappointed that there was no evening meal as the chef doesn't work on Mondays.
Good room size and bathroom
wifi was appalling all over the hotel, quite important when you are away for business. Random cupboard in our room full of stuff.
The location, friendly welcome. Clean tidy room. Good place to hoop on the local bus into the town center. Quite area and rear car park. Will stop there again for what we paid it was value for money.
Shower went from hot to cold to hot again without warning. The fittings were a bit dated but fine for storage. The room above had very squeaky floor boards. bar shut early for a Saturday. We didn't bother with the breakfast as it is very expensive.
great value, good food, comfortable bed, staff very friendly, great location I would visit again but would ask for room inside hotel.
Ground floor room at rear of hotel door opened onto beer garden, smelled a bit damp.
Staff were very good
Lovely clean rooms. Delicious breakfast. I didn't have an evening meal as I was going out, but the menu looked really good and good value. All staff very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel manager sorted me for breakfast the next day as I missed the 9am cut off time. She asked if I wanted full breakfast and was willing to cook it for me.
I was not advised about breakfast times when I booked in. I had a call after I had left the hotel chasing me for payment, but the girl I saw as I checked in took the payment straight away.
Excellent Food Attentive Staff
Booked a two night stay. Room not made up or cleaned after first night.
The Hillmorton Manor Hotel was in a convenient location for our visit.
The overall appearance of the Hotel was shabby and was generally untidy. The staff, although friendly, were not dressed suitably. The shower cubicle in our room was absolutely tiny. The bed linen has seen better days. The whole hotel could do with a makeover.
very welcoming and helpful staff, we were not in the hotel much as we arrived early and only came back in time for a night cap, but that was no problem
the shower in our room was a little difficult to manovre in
Room warm, bed comfortable.
Needs a refurbish, overpriced a little
Very pleasant stay, good breakfast and friendly staff.
Feels a little bit dated, but that's a very minor issue.
The bedroom was a good size.
The en suite bathroom was a joke! Very small and inadequate shower space. A step up to it presented a safety issue especially during the night. No shaver socket.
friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean. and value for money, evening meal excellent.
first impression the out side looked run down, and didn't give the inside justice
Room needs a re-ferb.
Good size, clean room.
Only thing i can think of is the TV, it was fixed to the wall on side of bed, making viewing a little awkward, but thats only a minor thing.
It was booked at very short notice as an overnight stay but was more than happy with the location (5mins from town centre of Rugby) and the room was very clean & tidy. The breakfast was good & the staff very friendly. I would definitely use this place again
I landed on a night when the restaurant was closed and so had to walk up the road & have a pub meal. There were 2 to choose from, both within walking distance of 5 mins or so.
Dining Facilities very good, location excellent, very comfortable hotel.
Staff were excellent and very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Only ate in the restaurant one night (only there for 3 nights) but the food was very good and inexpensive. Had breakfast each morning and couldn't fault it. My room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice area at the back of the hotel which would be great sitting out there in the summer sipping a glass or two. Nice big car park.
Can't say that I didn't like anything but the public areas could do with a freshen up. I believe it is under new ownership and improvements are an ongoing process.
Easy to find off the A5 within 10mins drive of Rugby centre. Good home cooked food and comfortable bar, plus sister-pub across the road.
The choice of specials for dinner was excellent and the food tasty, the staff were very pleasant and the car park was good.
The room was rather disappointing- chilly and not as spotless as one would hope - and the basin in the bathroom was tiny and a bit hard to use, being so low down.
