Flexible when I made mistake in my booking, cleaniness is great, Wi-Fi is very functional and staff were great
No receptionist at all. I was busy knocking at the front door until a passer bye directed me to the side door as the entrance. Then, an instrution that I should go accross the road to the Red Pub ( the sister company) to collect my room key. Charging for breakfast seperately.
Excellent food, friendly staff and a comfortable clean room. Good location for industrial estates and motorway.
The food was fabulous The staff were friendly and helpful
1. Lumpy bed. 2. Furnishings were old and uncomfortable. 3. Chair in the room was badly stained. 4. Loud noises and banging in hallways at night.
My husband and I were travelling with my 91 year old mother and the treatment we received was particularly kind and attentive. This hotel would certainly be our first choice if we were in the area again.
We had to cross the road to the Red Lion for something to eat and drink.
Very lovely and tidy place to stay, clean and comfortable! Not close to the town centre but it's just 10 min by car and parking it's not too expensive. The restaurant was excellent, different dishes for whatever taste and the full English breakfast was wonderful!!!!
Everything was very nice except shower wasn't working
Room was cold when we arrived
Easy to find, good parking, good value. Staff were friendly and the food was good quality and reasonable price mid week. Rooms clean and tidy
Meal portions could be a bit bigger!!
Just like originally designed this is accomadation with Pub and restaurant built in. Car park at rear. Serves breakfast and evening meals. Didn't have a bath in my room but the shower was large, clean and had plenty of flow.
Double room was good. Clean and comfortable.
The bar and restaurant are closed on a Monday, which is the day I booked. There is a sister Pub across the road which you have to book in with.
Prices Atmosphere Old fashioned
Good facilities, big room, great breakfast.
Wi-fi was hopeless.
Ample car parking Well located for town and surrounding area Large rooms Excellent (but expensive) breakfast
Delay in being attended to when checking in and out Step to get into rooms A cheaper continental breakfast would have been a good option
Handy for overnight stay, staff was friendly and helpful.
live music till 12.30 so unable to get a good nights sleep.
Very comfortable bed with more than enough milk containers for 2 morning coffees.
Ironing board in corridor immediately outside Room 2 with dirty food plates on it. There had clearly been wedding guests in the room before me as there was confetti lying about unswept. I personally don't like all the cushions on beds which seems to be a fad in hotels currently. I didn't like the galvanised chimney from the kitchen outside my bedroom window which carried cooking smells into the room as both windows had been left open, presumably as it was so warm. I also got the smell of cigarette smoke coming in from the outside smoking area below my window. I was very disappointed that the Wifi was not working so I was unable to work on my LapTop in the evening as planned. I was also disappointed that there was no evening meal as the chef doesn't work on Mondays.
Good room size and bathroom
wifi was appalling all over the hotel, quite important when you are away for business. Random cupboard in our room full of stuff.
The location, friendly welcome. Clean tidy room. Good place to hoop on the local bus into the town center. Quite area and rear car park. Will stop there again for what we paid it was value for money.
Shower went from hot to cold to hot again without warning. The fittings were a bit dated but fine for storage. The room above had very squeaky floor boards. bar shut early for a Saturday. We didn't bother with the breakfast as it is very expensive.
great value, good food, comfortable bed, staff very friendly, great location I would visit again but would ask for room inside hotel.
Ground floor room at rear of hotel door opened onto beer garden, smelled a bit damp.
Staff were very good
Lovely clean rooms. Delicious breakfast. I didn't have an evening meal as I was going out, but the menu looked really good and good value. All staff very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel manager sorted me for breakfast the next day as I missed the 9am cut off time. She asked if I wanted full breakfast and was willing to cook it for me.
I was not advised about breakfast times when I booked in. I had a call after I had left the hotel chasing me for payment, but the girl I saw as I checked in took the payment straight away.
Excellent Food Attentive Staff
Booked a two night stay. Room not made up or cleaned after first night.
The Hillmorton Manor Hotel was in a convenient location for our visit.
The overall appearance of the Hotel was shabby and was generally untidy. The staff, although friendly, were not dressed suitably. The shower cubicle in our room was absolutely tiny. The bed linen has seen better days. The whole hotel could do with a makeover.
