Staff were excellent, very friendly and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Evening meal was superb and excellent value, served by attentive smiling friendly staff. Breakfast was just as good. Rooms were lovely, on the small side but clean and comfy. I have stayed in lots of hotels, this one was superb. |

The rooms at the hotel are a little small but very clean and well presented. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast we had (eggs benedict) was delicious. The orange juice glasses are like shot glasses though, one gulp and its gone. The exterior of the hotel is very displeasing to the eye and looks rundown. Certainly not what I would rate as a four star hotel. I would choose other hotels in this price bracket next time if I was staying with a partner. |

Staff were eager to please and friendly and helpful. The twin rooms were a strange shape but nice. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The food was excellent quality except for the deserts which seemed very ordinary. The cooked breakfast and choice for breakfast was very good. No lifts to the rooms. The dining room was very cold when we went in. The bar area was also very cold in the early evening. We asked for the heating to be put on in both rooms. There was no plughole near the lamp in our room 17, near the wardrobe so this could not be put on. The kettle had to be plugged in on the floor for the same reason. The Hotel was in easy walking distance of the town itself. |

The Staff were very nice and did there best to put right the things that were wrong during our stay. Bar and lounge area was comfortable and the breakfast was nice, freshly cooked and hot, waiters good. On arrival we were shown to a dirty room which had not been cleaned, the manager cleaned it himself and was very apologetic but we had to wait 1 1/2 hrs, we had very noisy neighbours who had their TV on at 1.30am and on the 2nd day had no hot water in the morning to shower or wash. Our room was very hot but the radiators did not work so you couldnt control the temperature. We were told that they had just taken over and were in the process of sorting out all these problems but if you are paying full price I think you should expect full facilites. |

the breakfast food was of good quality and of a good variety,my wife especially liked the eggs benedict the fire alarm went of twice during the night,no explanation as to why by the staff the next morning, disturbing a nights sleep. On 2 occasions during our stay staff entered our room without knocking first.Charged differently for same drinks and was told that we were charged wrongly on previous night, not enough apparently.Room was not as seen on internet, only one chair to sit on and this meant we had to sit on bed.Tea and coffee and toilet roll were not replenished.A misterprentation about the parking was also dismissed when commented on. |

The Hotel decor, the food & the helpfulness of ALL the staff. 1) Breakfast in my opinion is a bit late (9-10am) however, the staff did allow us earlier entry at about 8-30. 2) Bar closes at 11pm but I understand they are soon to apply for an extension. |

The location was quiet yet near the sea front; there was some car parking in front of the hotel and it was easy to find. The fire alarm on Saturday night went off three times during the early hours.Guests smoking in their rooms was to blame. The hotel did not live up to its 4 star badge. The bar had limited stock and did not open longer for guests; indeed we were encouraged to leave at times at or before normal closing times by staff "needing to get home".The double room we were in was the smallest double room I have ever stayed in and the level of decoration and furnishing was poor. This room definitely did not have a view from the window.Other nearby hotels seemed to be better value. |

The walls in the room were flaking caused by damp which was clearly visible and also there was only one chair to sit on so my partner had to sit on the bed |

It was a lovely place to stay, I recomend it to all. Very cosey, breakfast was fab. Bit noisy in the mornings from around 7. Ironing board not very good (useless) in a bad location not worth using. Had a leaking shower, parking very limited space. Bar area closed far to early had to leave at 11pm shame as we were having a few quiet drinks whilst enjoying the evening slightly spoit the night. |

The staff were very helpful and the food in the resturant was excellent and good value. The cooked breakfast started at 9am and I had to get away before then, I was not offered a discount or told of this prior to the morning of checkout. |
