Location close to Ferries Comfort of the room Very friendly couple Very good breakfast
Cannot be faulted, really did get looked after, breakfast excellant and nothing is too much trouble.
Only stopped one night!!
The owners Margaret and Peter were welcoming & friendly and made us a snack dinner. Car parking was available. The room facilities were clean and comfortable for a good night sleep. Good shower and tasty breakfast. The P&O ferry port is located opposite this B&B place and the Stena Line ferry port is a few minutes away by car.
Owner very friendly and very helpful.
The dining room was a little bit cramped.
Very good location for ferries. Off street parking Friendly landlady
Its location, the ensuite and Margaret was a lovely host.
One word Superlative
Room was pretty and comfortable Good location for coming and going to early or late ferries Hostess was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good - best of our long weekend trip!
A bit noisy outside our room with traffic, especially with trucks going to ferry. (But we had our window open because we like it cool.)
Room was a bit warm
Classic stone house Well appointed rooms Perfect location for Ferries
The friendliness of Margaret who made you feel very welcome when you arrived and this friendliness spread to other guests. Recommended a first class hotel for dinner. Hope to stay again next year.
Friendly people and excellent food.
Great for travellers using Cairnryan ferry termini. Room very clean, shower great, bed very comfy, great breakfast.
Access to The Homestead is via a slip road which is not a problem if you realise this before you pass it! Arrived in darkness so may have missed signposting.
Comfortable room in a guest house very near to the Ireland ferry terminals. Very good breakfast.
So very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for Margaret & her husband. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent! Very good parking facilities and near to the ferry ports. We liked their little shop next door too!
No problems at all at Homestead Guest House but reviews stated no dinner facilities nearby so as we came from the M6 direction along the A75 we made a planned stop at The Bruce Hotel in Newton Stewart where we got a superb dinner at very reasonable cost before arriving at Homestead!
The guest house was ideally located opposite the ferry terminal.
the lady in charge was so helpful to myself and wife as she is disabled Margret couldn't have been kinder
Friendly and helpful hostess. Nice and clean.
Comfortable bed. Appreciated the sack lunch, although it was a replacement for the complimentary breakfast.
Felt like we were staying at a strict babysitter's house. No food/drink allowed in room. Extra charge for paying w/ a credit card - there's no mention of this on the website. We checked out "too early" to have breakfast - breakfast hours are not posted anywhere. Rude owner. Not quiet and didn't feel private. Further away from stena line ferry port than expected.
That we had to leave so early to catch our ferry.
Excellent location for any travellers going to or from Ireland by ferry. Owner was very helpful with local advice for dinner. Provided a packed breakfast/lunch package as we were leaving on early ferry. Definitely recommend for others considering this B&B.
Comfortable and clean room. Really good breakfast with a helping of fresh fruit. Ideal for the Ferry.
We arrived by bicycle which we signalled in advance, however, there is no covered area for bikes. Also EMailed a query beforehand which wasn't answered.
On arrival, greeted by Margaret. Facilities in room to make a cup of tea ect. The room was spotless. Comfy bed. Ad-joining bathroom with shower. Promp early call. Packed breakfast, and Margaret's husband kindly drove us back to the ferry. Excellent.
Had to leave before breakfast , but host made up magnificent packed lunch , thank you.
Spotless condition and close to the ferry terminal. We will return.
