Very welcoming hotel with helpful staff. Good food Very strange orange juice at breakfast. Think it was probably a concentrate incorrectly diluted |

Staff even gave me a free cup of tea as I was reading in the lounge. Location was perfect. Free view on tv was erratic. Meal unavailable on the saturday because there was a charity function. |

This is an extremely well run small hotel with friendly staff beautiful food comfortable rooms and a location second to none with a certain ambiance that you know you will be back. Would recommend to anyone. Only one small thing instead of an electric fire in the lounge an open fire would have been more appropriate. |

Fantastic position in the heart of beautiful Rye with views over the surrounding marshes. The perfect place to stay when visiting to explore the historic town of Rye, other cinque ports, and coastline. A parking permit for just outside the hotel was very handy. Staff friendly and helpful. Resturant was fully booked but lots of good eateries a stroll away. Very good full english breakfast. Comfortable and traditional room. I liked it all but people who are looking for trendy boutique style accomodation would probably be disappointed. |

The atmosphere at the Hope Anchor is friendly and good. Breakfast was excellent, especially the freshly cooked plate. I think the Nook and Cranny room is a bit overpriced at £90.00 for a Sunday night. |

The location in Rye was super. Friendly staff and excellent food. the most comfortable hotel bed i have ever slept in. I was in the room in the eaves called the outlook. The bath was tucked under the eaves and once in I couldnt get out. Fortunately it wasnt necessary to call the fire brigade. |

The food was superb and the staff were excellent. The car parking facility was a bonus, particularly for Rye. Our room (The Porthole) was on the small side and was on two separate levels. This caused minor inconvenience. |

The location is second to none, the staff are genuinely warm and friendly and the food is perfection on a plate. The best all round hotel I have ever stayed in. Parking could be a slight problem, but then again it is car drivers like myself who spoil such a beautiful location |

I liked the way that the hotel combined the character of an old Inn with modern comforts. Breakfast, though excellent was served quite late on the weekend, starting at 9am. This was quite constricting if you wanted an early start for a day trip, or to visit the local nature reserve early in the morning to catch the tide. |

In the centre of the small, charming town of Rye, the Ship is a modern take on the traditional English inn - a cosy pub, rich in original character, with simple, comfortable en suite rooms above. |
