Location convenient for what I wanted
Although centrally heated, it appeared that it was only switched on when I arrived. The room felt cold and a bit musty and never reached a comfortable temperature. Not good for £80. Breakfast OK.
Beautiful room, very comfortable, quiet and good facilities.
First member of staff we saw wasn't that welcoming! A few touch ups needed in the room. No hot water for a bath!
Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the young man in the restaurant
- Really comfy bed / bedroom (Tallant) - bedrooms really are beautiful and un-expected - Good beer / wine / food selection - Friendly staff
- Very noisy bedroom as facing the auction and was woken up very early with bins being emptied (Thursday morning) but have stayed before and never had this problem so appears room related. - Took 3 calls and an email over 3+ weeks to get a copy of an invoice for my stay - Oddly, we weren't informed by any of the staff that they were closing, they simply locked up the doors and the gates and abandoned us to ourselves in the courtyard
Stayed here whilst walking Offas Dyke. The staff were very friendly and the beer and atmosphere was great. We stayed in the twin bedded cottage which was very clean and comfortable.
Real pub atmosphere, good beers and good food

Food exellent and good value for money. comfortable rooms.
Beer garden below a bit noisy on the Sunday evening, better on Monday night.
location and comfort
lack of hotel room extras: shelving, mirror, bath mat, dresser
The welcome and trouble taken to check everything was to our satisfaction
Shower difficult to use
Town centre location, lively & friendly.
The easy atmosphere and the big bath, oh, and the breakfast.
Not being sure of a parking place but it wasn't a problem as it happened.
Staff and accommodation
Breakfast area was far to small and confined
