The beds didnt have sheets or pillow case and we didnt have a right bed. Just would tAke any free one But without sheets or duvet we couldnt know
I just sleeped there I didn't use any other facilities. The bed and bathroom were ok
Our stay at the hostel as a group of 19girls was better than expected. Staff were very helpful and the hostel was very clean! One main downfall though was the size of our room (room 10) 12 in the room was definitley too much one bunk bed should have been removed for a more comfortable stay for 10 people, it was extreemly stuffy with 12 people in the room and the window only opened a little bit! Apart from this couldn't fault it for the price we paid! Location was very good also, only a 5/10 min walk from princes street! Also had a lovely bar 2min walk away which did fantastic food.
The lounge was big enough. The location is good.
The rooms are smelly and cold. The kitchen small, fridge full and someone took my tomatoes away! The water pressure in shower is fixed at a low level, which is not nice.
Met some nice people, communal areas suited needs , location right opposite train station and tram, within walking distance of centre. Free luggage storage and had wifi in my room. Would stay there again.
Temperamental showers, room was quite small for 6 people and would have liked kitchen to be open an hour earlier (7am).
The stuff is friendly
It was very untidy and noisy
The only reason why i choose this hostel was for the price
The toilette didn't have hp and there was no hot water in the showers
Good environment in the common areas, well equiped kitchen and breakfast for only 2 pounds. Nice and comfortable beds. Cheap! (Except for New Year's)
wifi didn't always work properly, the free computer didn't work properly at all, and there's no plug ir light for each bed (the plugs were really far from my bed and they weren't enough for everyone.
cheap, very good location, friendly people and staff, offers breakfast, in general ok
restroom was to small for all the people and came to crowded. the dorm room was a nightmare. 17 people sleeping together with a closed window. Ventilation urgently required.
The girls in my dorm were friendly. The location was good. close to center.
The bathroom facilities were awful. Only 2 small unisex bathrooms for 10 rooms! They were also always dirty. Not sure if the staff even bothered cleaning them. The hostel was also very noisy, my room was at the base of the stairs next to a lounge area where ppl were playing guitar and singing till 3am! The hostel should have a quiet time for those who want to sleep! Finally I stayed in a 6 bed dorm and the room was soo small there was barely room for my bag. Hostel was cheap but you def get what you pay for, think the standards are slipping!
Close to the city and train station
Beds were too close, no lockers for luggage and the breakfast was poor in range of food
location for the price has to be the biggest surprise...courteous staff, informative and helpfull....dont tell everyone cos then like all good things it will be more difficult to book.
The key card did not work very well, I had to remove it and put it back in the slot as many as ten time before it worked.
the area is very closed to station which is good, the kitchen is good
mix shower room and horrible wifi connection
I felt very good there, although travelling alone. The staff was really nice, they helped me a lot when I had some trouble. Great value. I really recommend it. Clean bathroom, clean room. Close to town centre but a bus and tram passes by. Awesome stay.
Reasonable price and good location which is just beside Haymarket train station
the card for opening the door sometimes can't work, I have to try hundreds of times outside and wait for the dude who can't be annoyed by me anymore to help me open the door
Radiator in the room was not working and room was freezing. Beds and mattresses were not comfortable and noisy. Mattresses were quiet old. Duvets were not clean.
The atmosphere in The Hostel is just brilliant! Lots of positive interesting guests and super friendly staff. Big plus for providing different amenities such as phone chargers, free wifi, sewing kits etc. Good location but you need to remember to get of in Haymarket rather that main train station. Overall strongly recommend !
price communal areas location
room 5 was quite crampt
Everything was good, though the bed sheet need a little upgrade, the heater need to put on for the sake people that never lived in a cold area before. otherwise I joined my stay and I will go to the hostel any time any day.
The bed sheets need a little upgrade in quality. I don't like the fact that I slept without heater on 20th of Nov, the room was too cold for person like me who doesn't live in a cold environment,
Location & Price. Staff were friendly. Place was very clean. £2 breakfast was good.
Beds were a little poor and uncomfy, very squeeky. No outlets in room to charge phones/laptops etc.. But plenty in the lobby.
good location-Haymarket Station nearby;good kitchen-there're everything I need
The new french receptionist, very friendly and professional.
Toilette without paper and floor flooded all day, I've been many times at the hostel but it looks the good standard is going down.
Very low price, I paid only £10 per night. Location is good, just a short walk from west end of Princes St. Airport tram stops just around the corner. Free wifi. Friendly and helpful staff.
Dorm was a bit crammed, I could hardly fit my luggage in there. Six people in such a tiny room doesn't make for the best air circulation.
