Boasting an enviable location by the sea and 2 minutes’ drive from Saint Julian’s Pier, locally known as North Beach, St Georges is a family-run guest house with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 247 reviews Very good
La Trelade has free parking, free Wi-Fi, a 13-yard indoor pool, gym sauna and steam room. It is 1.5 miles from Guernsey Airport and 3 miles from the island's capital, St Peter Port.

This 3-star country hotel is set in an old farmhouse dating back to 1712. Surrounded by 8 acres of private land and picturesque gardens, it is a 10-minute walk from Guernsey’s west coast.
Score from 250 reviews Very good
The staff were extremely friendly, from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was absolutely outstanding and the 3 course meal for £10, was more than worth treble that. Location was second to none with a view that was out of this world. A bus stop directly out side for travel any where on the island for £1. The room was great, being January it was a little cold in there, but I really couldn't put that in the dislike comments, as it was an outstanding stay/place.
Nothing at all.
Relaxed atmosphere with no pressure or rush. Time given by staff who were extremely responsive to any request. Willingness of the owners to support visit by arranging hire car, explanation of attractions and point if interest to visit.
There was nothing to dislike. A suggestion would be to add a wider variety of cereals to the breakfast menu.
Lovely position, excellent food
The duvet was rather too hot.
The sea views. The cliff walks.
It us about as far from St Peter Port as you can get But in Guernsey that is not very far and the roads are all clear until you pass the airport and get to St Martin.
Staff extremely helpful. Relatively traffic-free location on an overcrowded island.
Superb views over Rocquaine Bay Wi-Fi was very good Excellent tea+coffee in bedroom Bed very comfortable Breakfast was good, incl full cooked Staff were on the ball and friendly Lots of football on the public bar TV Bar meals excellent, good value
Lighting in bedroom could be improved - tea/coffee area dark TV a little small for my taste Very few TV channels in bedroom - sports and news channels needed Restaurant only open weekends - but bar meals excellent
We were staying in Guernsey for the first time when we visited this hotel. It was very quiet (mid-December) but our room had fantastic views over the bay. It is a quiet location, but if you are looking for a walking holiday then this hotel is perfect. There are no other amenities in the area if you are without a car, but the food the hotel serves is good and at a very reasonable price. The hotel's public bar is very 'local', but if you would like somewhere quieter to sit there is a restaurant, breakfast room, and small lobby/lounge area. The room was quite cold but well cleaned every day, with tea/coffee facilities, and fast wifi.
The sea views, the restaurants varied menu and all round cleanliness of the hotel all made for a excellent stay
The view from was stunning,it was Tennerfest so food was good value.
That their was 50 steps and stairs from the road to our room and no lift. We had to sometimes ask for basics ie toilet rolls. Breakfast had to be served by 9.15 and it would have been nice to have the option of a later breakfast.
Gavin & Sabrina made us and our dogs very welcome, the staff were very helpful, the food, considering we stuck to the Tennerfest menu, was good and enjoyable, especially the Hungarian Goulash.Room view marvellous, room itself comfortable.
Location friendly staff and owners, have been three times as the price is right
Rooms needed updating, not much choice at breakfast
The bay-side location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners/managers and the good- value meals. Also the proximity to a bus service.
The hotel had 'seen better days' and could do with a bit of tlc, I think. Our room had a strange smell, the television reception had problems and there was no fruit, either fresh or canned, on offer.
Nice view. Pleasant staff
Bedroom well below standard
Views from the breakfast/dining room. Excellent-value really-good evening meals with a good range of choices. Friendly staff and other guests.
View is beautiful. Bus stop outside the hotel makes it easy to get around.
Main public areas ok. Bedrooms very tired. Light fittings etc in poor if not dangerous state. Fire doors propped open. Door upstairs left wide open so anyone could walk in without being seen. Poor security, when reported concerns to the manager he was complacent , says no crime on Guernsey which is sadly not true.
Food in the evening was very good quality and value. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Food was well cooked and presented by friendly and attentive staff. The reception was manned by a smiling and caring receptionist who provided answers to all our questions. The rooms were comfortable and met our needs as well as being clean and airy.
Whilst the staff and cleanliness were fine the general décor was a little 'tired', Our bathroom, for instance had paint peeling off the wall and the radiator needed dusting and cobwebs removed from behind it.
Friendly welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Good food. Spectacular views from our bedroom and the dining room. The hotel could benefit from some re-decoration and modernisation, but represents good value for money. Already booked to return 2015.
Friendliness of staff. Position of hotel - lovely quiet spot with spectacular views.
Excellent food, friendly staff. Beautiful location. Clean. Plentiful towels supplied.
Décor is a little dated, drinking water in bedrooms would be an easy additional touch. I can never understand why rooms only have one chair, we don't always want to lie down.
Incredible views of the coast, easy to drive around the island and bus stop right outside. Most of the staff we very helpful and happy to give recommendations of what to do. Excellent food in the bar.
We felt it was quite expensive (although I think other places in Guernsey are similarly priced) and the decor/furniture in the rooms was very outdated. Poor quality sausages served as part of breakfast, other than that the food was very good though.
Amazing location and views from windows. Great bus service around Island from right outside the front door. Helpful, friendly staff. Amazing food in the restaurants. New bathroom with nice warm shower. Room kept very clean daily. Comfy chairs in room to watch TV rather than having to sit on the bed.
No mirror where the hair dryer was fixed to the wall.
the view was fantastic.breakfast was top notch for the money.
shower controls difficult to get water temperature right, wardrobe not the best we have seen.
overall very clean
The wonderful views from room 16 day and night. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
The decor was tired and dated but maybe that adds to its charm
