Liked the welcome atmosphere and the fact that it was being used for a community gathering. Ground coffee available in room - excellent idea!
Food was good nice village setting
Leaving of dirty glass on tables in side and out.not dusting the bedrooms properly needs little TLC round the edges
We liked our room which was very comfortable and well thought out. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Out dogs were welcome. The young lady in charge was exceptional.
Traffic noise, though that is not the fault of the hotel.
Super welcome by Rosie May- nothing seemed too much. Great looking pub. Lovely decor of room. Such a comfortable bed and the pillows were amazing! The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, etc- a luxurious touch and appreciated! Great chocolate dessert!
Unfortunately, bedside table wasn't clean and bin by table had used tissues inside. Tea and coffee tray/mats not clean. Toilet tissue seemed a basic quality-softer would be nicer at a 4*! Our evening meal was a bit of a let down. The flavour was simply generally lacking in the starters and main meals- we were very surprised. Also the fish and chips meal was very poor as the fish wasn't very well battered and soggy I'm afraid and chips were luke warm. Our main complaint though was the noise from the fridges that reverberated all night through the floor of our bedroom. Such a shame. Usually sleep is something we excel in and I was expecting to sleep like a log due to the very comfortable bed but the noise from below was a constant and intrusive drone. The staff next morning, explained that yes it was an issue as the building is listed and can't be soundproofed so they are obviously aware of the disturbance it can cause to some (but not all people's sleep). I appreciate the pub has won a couple of recent awards-Well done! But I do wonder if the judges stayed a night in our room? I'm not sure how it can be remedied bar from only having very heavy sleepers in that room or giving people a choice of room? Background music in the morning at breakfast would have been nice and newspapers available. Maybe the staff not using their mobiles behind bar? I hope this feedback will be taken in a positive and constructive way.
We had a very good evening meal, presentation and quality of the food.was of a very high standard.
everything was just great cannot say anything negative. would certainly stay again.
Good breakfast. Very nice village location. Friendly staff. Lovely room.
Beware dogs everywhere had free run of bar & restaurant friendly but! We were given wrong WiFi code. Breakfast finished far too early 9am & 9:30 on Sunday.
Good food, helpful staff. Bathroom clean, linen immaculate
No car park - a real problem. There is a lot to be done to bring the pub up to the standard it deserves, but the tenant knows this and is working on it. Bedroom/bathroom lighting is bad.
The staff were all friendly and helpful The bed was comfortable Nice touches like fresh milk in the room as opposed to UHT
A little noisy on the friday night when full of lively people till late. Kitchen fan under our window was also noisy
Rooms and food were excellent
Noise from the road No wifi in rooms
The staff were all extremely helpful.
No mobile phone connectivity. I never managed to connect to the wi.fi.
The comfortable room and toiletries
Loss of wifi connection in room....
Welcoming, hard working staff. Relaxed feel about the Inn. Good food and facilities
Room overlooked kitchen yard and was a little noisy if you wanted and early night.
Stayed three nights. Excellent "olde-worlde" style pub in rural location with great food, breakfast and evening meals. In easy reach of Bournemouth and other resorts if that's what you want as well. Would recommend to others.
The wardrobe in the room had no cross rail, only three hooks, which all our clothes had to go on.
The owner - very friendly and cares about her business The food & beer The superior rooms are spacious and thoughtfully decorated. All in all good value and would return
The pillows - too hard The wifi - erratic
But not Great
The hotel in general is great.the local area and walks recommended by the hotel were fantastic. really tasty well cooked breakfast.
Noisy fan outside our room vibrated through every morming and evening.
very friendly staff
Noisy fan and limited Wi-fi
We were made to feel most welcome by the staff, especially the proprietor. Our evening meal was first rate and well priced. Breakfast menu offered plenty of choices, our smoked haddock and poached egg were perfect and we had proper coffee. Our room was tastefully furnished and very well equipped the on-suite immaculate and modern. We will certainly visit again and recommend the Inn to our friends and family.
Nicely designed rooms all clean and up to date, lovely big shower
Wifi wouldn't work
Staff, decoration, cleanliness, breakfast
Busy road, room above bar with noisy guests, no milk for tea in room, 1 bath towel to share as couple.
Very welcoming staff & owner. The room was beautiful. Fresh coffee & milk & variety of teas in room. Restaurant lovely, very good value for money. We would certainly go back.
