Victoria - the owner. Super! Breakfast - wonderful. Lovely rural location, easy to find. Clever concealment of TV in room.
Unlabeled glass bottles in bathroom. No shelf for same in shower.
Beautiful rooms, very comfy beds. Would definetly stay again.
As a tea drinker I would like a kettle in the room rather than having to have tea that tasted of coffee! Also the wifi was very bad in my room.
Location Staff friendliness Quality of food Small hotel
Wifi is very slow
Quiet location. Comfy rooms with excellent beds. Friendly staff.
Nothing that I can think of.
Very welcoming owners and staff. The food is excellent and great value for money. friendly and comfortable bar area.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, and very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast in sunny conservatory.
The bed was comfortable and it was in a lovely location.
There was no kettle in the room, tea and coffee choice was very limited. Two small bottles of something in the bathroom, not labelled, which I presume were toiletries. Towels that needed replacing. Limited choice of fruit and cereal at breakfast. No hot water on the Sunday morning and a very laid back proprietor, who didn't seem to care whether you were there or not. I have stayed at much better places for less money.
On arrival - greeted by the owner in a friendly & efficient way. Taken to the room, which was beautifully furnished & well equipped. The food was well presented and delicious. The bar in the evening was well attended with local residents, who made you feel very welcome. Breakfast - brilliant.
Room beautifully appointed and spacious. Comfortable bed and bathroom clean and modern facilities. Food in restaurant delicious and good choice of options. Quiet location gorgeous breakfast
Some noise from people in restaurant quite late
Food at dinner was excellent. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever tasted (so few can cook scrambled egg, and even fewer bother to provide real bread for toast as opposed to plastic slices). We loved the jug of orange juice and bowl of really fresh fruit already on the table. Accommodation was excellent, with a truly wonderful bathroom. The owners were helpful and attentive. Overall, excellent value for money, and a wonderful place to visit and stay in.
The personal involvement and lead provided by the owners (very front of house)
Mobile phone reception v poor
The friendly bar and good restaurant. Excellent mattresses and good bedrooms and bathrooms
Only a duvet on the bed which means a sweaty night in hot weather. Wi-Fi gave no connection.
Everything! We were at another function for eating purposes so did not dine in the restaurant. Will do another time.
Cost was a little high for the short time we were there...but that was our choice and not a complaint.
wonderful food good lager great location very relaxing atmosphere
only able to make coffee in room
Friendly, helpful staff. Scenic location. Well appointed room and ensuite with comfy bed. Dinner in restaurant. Excellent breakfast
Noisy kitchen extractor fan in restaurant which could also be heard in the bedroom (room 6) but did finish, as promised, at 11pm!
Relaxed atmosphere and friendly.
Not able to leave the premises for early morning stroll.
Quiet location and comfortable room. The evening meal was excellent. The owners are lovely and keen to make your stay special. I will certainly stay again when visiting Shrewsbury.
Limited choice at breakfast especially cereals and yogurts.
The food is excellent; we had the bream which was cooked to perfection and for breakfast the scrambled egg was just right ( not cold and lumpy as is often the case); the coffee was made with ground beans (a rare phonomenon). The location, quiet and peaceful. was so English (or Shropshire) and so close to one of the country's most attractive county towns. A valuable and valued experience.
Food was very good
No wifi in most of hotel, none in my room Had to ask for milk each day Owner had a very careless attitude almost as if he wished he wasn't there! Insisted on keeping key to room No wastebin in room Decor rather ponsy No soap, only a couple of jars with sticky liquid but no indication of content.
Excellent and friendly staff, lovely location, easy 15 min walk from Yorton railway station.
Only thing is to suggest that the scrambled eggs should not be done on too high a heat or in a frying pan.
Beautiful location, lovely food.
Homemade marmalade took some getting used, though I miss it now.
great stay, food excellent ,very comfy beds great hosts, recommend anybody if they enjoy food and a great stay.
We had a very enjoyable one night stay. The owners were very welcoming, the room was great and the food excellent. One of the best places we've stayed for a long time. We'll be back!
We can't fault the Inn at Grinshill.
Excellent food. Lovely staff. Room was good, clean and with a comfortable bed. Quiet scenic location. Would definitely return.
