Relaxing location - great atmosphere - restaurant very good quality and very good value - staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Small points - no waste bin or towel rail in the bathroom. Coffee maker doesn't make good tea - needs a kettle. No wardrobe - OK for short stay but more clothes space needed for two days plus.

Lovely country inn atmosphere and busy evening trade - always a good sign. Stylish decor - beautiful pictures, vases, soft furnishings, mirrors etc - but not ott. Ensuite was luxurious and bed was comfy. Service was friendly and efficient. Fruit platter and full English breakfast superb. Regret not having time to sample the evening menu. Great to see boiled egg and soldiers on the menu, but the eggs were hardboiled and not dippable! Would have been nice to have had the French doors open at breakfast as it was warm and sunny outside for once and rather stuffy inside. I could have asked but other guests were sitting in front of the doors and it may have appeared rude! These are very minor issues and I'm sure could have been resolved at the time had we mentioned them and in no way did they spoil our stay - but you did ask!

The hotel was relaxed and friendly, the staff were very pleasant and paid attension to details. The food was excelent and something to look forwards to on your return to the hotel. Nice surounding with a relaxing atmosphere.

Everything was fantastic at this hidden gem.. It would be very hard to fault anything here- the staff are all helpful and professional, whilst maintaining a friendly, relaxed air. The room was luxurious and comfortable. The location- whilst off the beaten track is absolutely beautiful- with some lovely country walks from the doorstep, and last but not least, the restaurant was absolutely top notch too.. A slice of gourmet heaven - with service to match. If you prefer something less formal/expensive than the main restaurant, you can also get (delicious looking) food in the bar at the Inn too. Breakfast was also good and made to order.
