The location was great for a base for travelling and the room was fabulous as a family room. My daughter was thrilled with the room.
The staff were just lovely, always kind and helpful. The food was lovely and the rooms especially comfortable. The log fire in the bar in the evening was so cosy.
A very warm welcome awaited us as we arrived Friday evening, we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. We stayed fri and sat night and wish we could have stayed longer! Despite almost constant downpours we had a great time and the inn felt so cosy and warm. Breakfast is amazing and again nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was delicious. Staff are lovely.. We would certainly return :-)
Drinks felt a little pricey and were charged for someone else's dinner and drinks on top of our own when we came to check out - soon rectified with a refund however.
Nice and friendly and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The room was made over every day so was always clean
Bathroom very much on small side and always in the morning smelt of stale cooking must have come through the extractor vents also our room had a very small window and couldn't get fresh air
From start to finish, the staff was very helpful and friendly. When we phoned to say we'd had a flat tire en route and wouldn't be able to make it to our reserved dinner, they kindly offered to save us some, or make us sandwiches whenever we arrived. The room was lovely and delightfully expansive, with its own cozy seating alcove. Best of all was the stylish and scrumptious breakfast: go for the porridge made with cream and white chocolate, served with fresh raspberry coulis! And eating it within sight of the Tay River's rapids (where an Olympic hopeful was working out) was a special treat. The location was also good, close enough to other sites of note but far from hordes of tourists. Sorry we couldn't stay much longer!
Disappointingly, the room did not face the river, and there was some noise from the road in the morning. Next time -- and I hope there will be one! -- we'd ask for a river view.
The food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner.
My only observation is that the portions are too large. Ok if you have a healthy appetite, but for those who don't you may be over faced.
Settings beautiful, staff can't do enough to ensure your stay is perfect. Hotel and food first class
Nothing you can't fault it
Setting Welcome Standard of Cleanliness Comfort of the Room Food was Fantastic
WiFi was problematic but you could see they were trying to improve this. WiFi in rooms would be much appreciated.
Excellent and comfy bar area. Very nice food and good wifi coverage. A lovely setting with a great restaurant overlooking the river.
No reception area when arriving so a bit confusing re. where you were supposed to go as staff in restaurant and bar were busy. Breakfast not served until 8am which is a bit late and hence we could not have breakfast.
Friendly atmosphere, brilliant location, extremely accommodating staff and owners. Rooms tasteful, modern and comfortable with great food served. Will definitely be returning.
the bed was very comfortable, the food was excellent and the surroundings were beautiful
it seems a bit petty but as people started to get up from their nights sleep the floors in neighbouring rooms started to creak, but I suppose it was part of the charm of this delightful hotel
Excellent hosts and staff. Beautiful rooms, fab food.
Nothing at all to not like.
Very friendly staff, good location
Very warm welcome from owner and all staff helpful and friendly. Beautiful, large room overlooking the Tay and lovely Arran Aromatic toiletries! I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and what was especially good was that its dog friendly and our room was ideal with direct access to outside area. Food was excellent and we will definitely return!
No robes towels too thin
A lovely friendly hotel, even when we arrived late at night the staff were welcoming and helpful.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, good food, comfortable room
The accomodation was perfect for a family group. Excellent food.
Location & warm, friendly atmosphere.
No WIFI as advertised. Unreliable television reception. Variable meal quality.
the large comfortable bedroom great bathroom design of building
tv situated too low to watch from bed (baseboard of bed was raised up in middle) menu a little limited if staying a few days a little too pricey!
Friendly welcome Big bright room Good food Excellent service
Beautiful location, very friendly staff, excellent food and lovely hotel. Wonderful and highly recommended in every way. We will definitely go back.
The only (minor) complaint would be that the shower isn't great.
The mattress was awful, I suffer with my back and was in agony the next day. I said something to the staff and she said they had had a few complaints and had ordered a new one. They shouldn't have let the room as it was so uncomfortable, it had springs digging into my back. I wouldn't stay again as I would be worried about the other mattresses that hadn't been replaced.
Beautiful location, alongside the river Tay. Beautiful food: the breakfasts were amazing.
