The location was perfect for me as I work in Ferry Rd & was meeting my family to go to a show. The staff are very nice, nothing was too much bother for them. This was my 2nd stay. Room 3 this time, room 1 the last time. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Overall excellent value for money. The bathroom is very small. The shower didn't adjust (as in come off the wall, no good if you don't want to wash your hair) you had no choice. Nowhere in shower to put toiletries. No wardrobe as such to hang your clothes up, a wooden "rack" of sorts with coat hangers. Excellent for short term stay but wouldn't recommend for long visits.

By far one of the worst hotels we have ever been too. You cant open the bathroom door more than a foot because the bed is in the way, we had to take the only chair in the room out so we could put in our suitcase. Not at all what was decribed on your site in hotel descriptions, just because they have one or two nice rooms, they cant choose to not mention the 10 other rooms that are absolutly terrible. Rude service when we asked if they were full and if they could give us a different room, we will pay the difference, but just rude careless behaviour. Very dissapointed, and we usually like your site.

We were upgraded to one of the rooms with the four-poster beds, which was quite lovely. The room was nice, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was really good. The only bad thing is that it is a bit far from the city center, but at least it is close to a bus stop.

I loved the big double bed I slept in, the power shower was awesome. The hotel staff were very friendly, the cooked breakfast was very nice as well as were all the other elements of breakfast that were on show. Overall the hotel and everything with it was brilliant. I would definately stay at the hotel again in the future as Edinburgh is such a great city to visit.

We loved our stay at the Inverleith. We were upgraded to one of their 4-poster suites, and it was really nice - comfortable and spacious. The young man on the front desk was very courteous and breakfast was lovely. Parking was on the street opposite - its free from about 5pm or so through to 8am the next morning - you can feed the meter the night before though so you dont have to leap out of bed early in the morning. We loved being close enough to the City Center but also the Botanical gardens and the Loon Fung restaurant round the corner was excellent. Overall a fabulous nights stay.

Welcoming, polite staff. Business-like approach. Great, tasteful presentation, e.g. bar and dining room. The room I had was slightly tired (carpets, decorations) and the en-suite was cramped. However, it was still excellent value for money!

The rooms were small and dated.the staff were reasonably present. The breakfast was nice in a nice dining room. Place is ok for one of two nights but not for longer stays. There is a ditrect busd route to town centre and hotel is near botanical gardens.

We found it a fairly easy ten minute walk into the centre. Previous reviews said it took longer and that it was probably better to take a bus but we didn't find this at all! Room clean, breakfast very nice! If i was staying for longer than two nights i'd book a standard double rather than the small double room. We asked for a taxi to be booked for early in the morning (7am) on our day of departure. We were told this wasn't a problem, they would arrange it and that a small breakfast pack up would be left out for us. When we came downstairs no pack up was there and, after waiting fifteen minutes, no taxi came. Luckily we managed to hail one from the end of the road and made it to the airport on time, but a stress that we could've done without after such a good weekend!
