Pleasant, clean and friendly

The food - especially the disappointing breakfast!

Comfortable hotel, friendly & helpful staff. Good selection of food in their restaurant which was excellent. Really good value for money.

Simply one of the best.I stay in approximately 70 Hotels a year and this one is right on my radar. Brill staff, good food and lovely clean rooms. Wouild recommend it.

The food at the hotel was superb, one of our party is vegetarian wheat intolerant and they had a two or three options on the menu which was great. Generous portions and good prices.

The local train track is nearby and you can hear the trains rumble past, but it didn't keep me awake at night so not really a problem.

We stayed at this hotel, as we were attending a wedding at South Farm, the room was basic but clean, which offered tea/coffee, and amenities. The breakfast was very good, so that was nice, didn't have lunch or dinner, as eat at different location.

Room was a bit basic, but acceptable.

As I was a lone woman traveller the staff were very welcoming and friendly and I felt very relaxed and at ease whilst staying there

There is nothing to dislike,

A warm welcome at 10.00p.m. The person serving breakfast was very friendly and helpful

The staff were friendly and polite. The evening meal was excellent, with a variety of local produce; I particularly enjoyed the local, hand-carved Cambridge ham. We visited at a quiet, off-peak time of year, however, there is a very attractive beer garden, home to a large variety of birdife, which would be great to visit on a summer's evening.

Admittedly the Inn was quiet, with only one or two other guests and appeared deserted at 8am when arriving for breakfast, but a bell at reception would have been useful to attract attention when wanting the check out an hour later.

The hotel is Getting a little dated

The rooms were very good for the price: everything wonderfully clean, good hot shower, lovely towels, comfy beds, no noise problems. All the staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. The full english breakfast was one of the best we've had, and we would recommend the steak (cooked absolutely just right).

Other than the steak, which was very good, our evening meal was disappointing, and not up to the quality suggested by the menu pricing.

The staff were so accommodating, its a very pleasant place to stay. Will def go back.

The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The guest beers were excellent! The food was good and it wasn't a problem having a dog. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

It was reasonably priced, clean, warm, and the breakfast was good. The owner/manager was very helpful despite the fact that we had to cancel part of our booking at the last minute. We would have liked to stay longer than we did and if we needed to we would have no hesitation in booking again.

The decor looks a little tired in places but that is more an observation than a criticism

This basically a characterful English pub with clean well appointed rooms. It is really amazing value for money with excellent English breakfast included in the price. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. One of the best things was the view of the mature garden (with many wild bird species) from the breafast room.
