Not a "dislike" exactly, but it would have been niced to have had the fires going during the chilly spell when we visited.

Fantastic stay, Janette and Frank were very welcoming. Lovely room, clean and tidy. The pub/B&B is set in beautiful countryside. Will look forward to return visit.

Lovely large room which had beautiful décor and was extremely clean. All staff were very friendly. Lots of local information and leaflets available detailing things to do in the surrounding area. Breakfast was a feast!

Tastefully decorated bedrooms, very clean and in good condition. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Had excellent meal in the bar. Lovely views from the bedroom.

Staff were very friendly at all times, food was INCREDIBLE, especially for the price - quite easily better than most establishments that are only restaurants, rooms were both comfy and cosy and the whole place was relaxing and quiet. Couldn't have asked for anything more really!

It's a couple of miles outside Hartington and on the a515 (which really was not a problem) but you wouldn't get the stunning views in Hartington !

The food was fantastic especially the steak, room was lovely and owners very friendly.

The bar was freezing, uncomfortable to eat in, I understand there were only 4 people in the hotel, but surly 1/2 doz logs on one of the 3 fires would not have been too much of a problem.

Outside looks a bit shabby, junk round the back spoils the outside. Walls outside need a paint. Doent look that appealing from road. Understand new owners are doing improvements etc so will be great when outside tidied up. Tables and chairs in bat/eating area could do with replacing with something more contemporary in keeping with new decor.

I had a great ale there and good meal. My room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for my travels. I really liked this place for what it had to offer.

The evening I was there, I was apparently the only guest. After I finished my evening meal I went back to my room for a few minutes and returned to find the bar closed and lights out. I had to drive to another pub to get internet service and a pint. There was no internet in my room nor even in the hall or entrance near the bar. Then in the morning, when I wanted a cup of coffee, the bar was dark and no one was around. I searched for the owners but found no one anywhere. There was no instructions left as to how to contact them to check out or anything. It was the strangest experience. While I enjoyed my stay, I would hope that the owners would be a bit more attentive to guests.

Lovely friendly staff, good food, nice room all at an excellent price

The location was great and the staff were very friendly, the room we were staying in was lovely loads of room clean, tidy and comfortable with lovely views of the countryside when you look out of the windows, The food was very good as well, really enjoyed our stay here.
