    The hotel was very clean.

Our room was facing a wall and it had a damp smell. The pillows were very poor.

Cleanliness is outstanding. The staff were couldn't do enough for you. The price rate was very reasonable. The location is spot on. Would definitely recommend it.

The fact that there wasn't a lift up to the second floor. (I am not as young as I used to be). That the room that I had was next door to a couple of very noisy boys. (I know that this wasn't the hotel's fault)

The sitting room. Breakfast. Plenty of places to go for a meal around.

The uncomfortable bed in the standard room, no free parking.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for the money. Plenty of buses pass hotel. Many shops and cafes/bars within walking distance

Parking not very convenient ~ but location makes anything else difficult.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful

The "double" room was very small The bed was small and little room to move about in the room The toilet and shower was shared and down a corridor We were in a basement and the breakfast room was on the first floor. Lots of stairs - no lift (I am partially disabled) Parking is difficult

The staff was super friendly and welcoming and it was great value for money. We asked for an extra duvet which was no problem and we could leave our bags at the hotel after checking out. The area around the hotel is great, lots of restaurants and small cafés and you can go for a lovely walk in the botanical gardens just around the corner. It's only a 10-minutes bus ride from Buchanan bus station and there's a metro stop a short walk away. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Glasgow!

Our room was basically in the cellar so it felt a little cramped and dark but for one night it was totally fine. And the friendly staff made up for it!

Didn't have that much of appeal to me personally, although good nights sleep.

Battled to unlock rickety doorlock on more than one occassion, which requires seeing to. Could hear other guests having a romping time in the opposite room, and quite a creaky place so you may keep others awake with nocturnal activities.

Good location. Very friendly staff nothing too much trouble. Good choice at breakfast.

Would be good to have room with en suite facilities. Highly inflated cost of room due to Commonwealth Games. This was the case with other Commonwealth visitors to other B&B and hotels.

Absolutely stunning building with so much character. The lady dealing with us was so welcoming and couldn't have done more. Such a pleasure to stay and will most definitely be returning. Great value for money with such a handy location. Thank you to all at the hotel

Location suitable for where we needed to be. Staff very friendly and good breakfast. Good place to stay at normal prices

The cost of room was extremely high just because of Commonwealth Games. Far too much to pay for room that did not have en-suite facilities

The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good.

The parking was limited and the street parking complicated to use (ie: it said on the parking meter that one could park for a maximum of 3 hours but then later found out that it was possible to park for longer using up to three permit cards. The shower in the bathroom didn't work. The other shower room was located along the corridor past the dining room which meant walking past everyone having their breakfast to get to the shower.

The Kelvin Hotel West End is in an excellent position for Galleries, restaurants and buzzy nightlife. The Botanical Gardens are just down the road and it is easy to to get around the city fro the hotel.
