Beds were very uncomfortable. Never slept so bad. Staff were not helpfull at all, rude and inconsideride in mornings. On day of check out (11am) I had a knock on my door at 10am asking 'if I was leaving yet'. This is shocking customer service. Would never stay there again. Worst hotel I have stayed at
Quick and efficient check in Brilliant location for Botanic gardens and Oran Mor Comfortable room
Being in a cold damp cellar room with no outlook (a brick wall) Lack of TV channels Dirty Linen Rude Ineffiecient Staff Stayed in much better places in Glasgow for less money (as I did the following night on the same road)
I knew I wasn't getting a luxurious place because I wasn't prepared to spend much. It was near to the university which was my main concern. The room was comfortable enough and I was kept well supplied with tea. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
If there was anything, it was that I got some noise, but this was infrequent and didn't put me off.
The hotel was very clean.
Our room was facing a wall and it had a damp smell. The pillows were very poor.
Cleanliness is outstanding. The staff were couldn't do enough for you. The price rate was very reasonable. The location is spot on. Would definitely recommend it.
The fact that there wasn't a lift up to the second floor. (I am not as young as I used to be). That the room that I had was next door to a couple of very noisy boys. (I know that this wasn't the hotel's fault)
The sitting room. Breakfast. Plenty of places to go for a meal around.
The uncomfortable bed in the standard room, no free parking.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for the money. Plenty of buses pass hotel. Many shops and cafes/bars within walking distance
Parking not very convenient ~ but location makes anything else difficult.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful
The "double" room was very small The bed was small and little room to move about in the room The toilet and shower was shared and down a corridor We were in a basement and the breakfast room was on the first floor. Lots of stairs - no lift (I am partially disabled) Parking is difficult
It was quiet. Clean.
Wi fi didn't work.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming and it was great value for money. We asked for an extra duvet which was no problem and we could leave our bags at the hotel after checking out. The area around the hotel is great, lots of restaurants and small cafés and you can go for a lovely walk in the botanical gardens just around the corner. It's only a 10-minutes bus ride from Buchanan bus station and there's a metro stop a short walk away. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Glasgow!
Our room was basically in the cellar so it felt a little cramped and dark but for one night it was totally fine. And the friendly staff made up for it!
Didn't have that much of appeal to me personally, although good nights sleep.
Battled to unlock rickety doorlock on more than one occassion, which requires seeing to. Could hear other guests having a romping time in the opposite room, and quite a creaky place so you may keep others awake with nocturnal activities.
The location. Hotel is located in the heart off Glasgow's fashionable West End.
Was asked to settle my bill the moment I walked into hotel. Staff, the next morning disputed the size and type of room me and wife were given due to a mistake in the room description on Bookings.com. Eventually a compromise was reached but not without some argument beforehand. Prices were hiked threefold during the Commonwealth Games.
Ease of transport to Hampden Park for athletics events in the Commonwealth Games. Good transport links to other places too. And BATH in ensuite bathroom.
Guest kitchen facilities advertised on website were not really available but I managed to squeeze some things into a staff fridge in order to make sandwiches day by day.
Comfortable, slightly old fashioned style guest house. Nice facilities.
Good location. Very friendly staff nothing too much trouble. Good choice at breakfast.
Would be good to have room with en suite facilities. Highly inflated cost of room due to Commonwealth Games. This was the case with other Commonwealth visitors to other B&B and hotels.
Rooms and linen were clean Convenient for City Centre
Traffic noise No en suite Expensive for basic room without en suite presumably prices high due to Commonwealth games
Absolutely stunning building with so much character. The lady dealing with us was so welcoming and couldn't have done more. Such a pleasure to stay and will most definitely be returning. Great value for money with such a handy location. Thank you to all at the hotel
location excellent friendly staff rooms were comfortable and clean
Location suitable for where we needed to be. Staff very friendly and good breakfast. Good place to stay at normal prices
The cost of room was extremely high just because of Commonwealth Games. Far too much to pay for room that did not have en-suite facilities
The polish girl who works during the evening :) Preço,licalizaçao
Great Location,Good Breakfast.
The rooms were made smaller since my last visit.Showers matts wet and shower rusty.valance sheets grubby.kettle faulty.
great location near the university of Glasgow. very friendly staff
it's a low-end hotel - i guess i can't complain about that :)
