Good position close to city center

The building is quite old and not well kept. Very close to the ferry port that start working early in the morning.

It was within walking distance to downown.

It smelled horrible, to the point that it made me feel ill. We could feel every spring in the matress. Would never go back!

From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you've arrived at your relative's home. Sheena and the staff make you feel at home. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and look forward to staying there when we return to Scotland.

Location in the middle of the city.

Too high price for this level. At breakfast ran out of toast and were not ready to jump into the store to a new, rather they are interpreted to all that it is out of...

This hotel is totally filthy and many things just don't work: the shower worked only if someone activated the switch in the next room, the equipment in the bathroom was broken or antiquated, the whole place stank of dog smells, the hotel is very noisy. On our last day we were given mouldy white bread & the fruit in the basket was rotten. This hotel should be inspected and shut down for a while.

A huge light, clean room overlooking the ferry port with comfy beds. A quiet bar with Keef the dog - a true character. A lovely landlady - cheerful and welcoming despite the long hours of her job. 5 minutes walk from the centre, 5 minutes walk from the ferry, car park opposite and free road parking overnight. Keef was available to be walked and almost adopted for the duration of our stay - he is a dog not to be missed!

The children were sad that Keef couldn't come home with us. We were all sad not to be staying longer.

Very good breakfast. Staff very nice and trying to please all guests. Very close to ferry pier and train station. Car park just across road where you could negotiate a price for your stay. Room clean with new towels every day.

No reception area - used the bar for all transactions. Decor badly needing updated although the new carpets throughout made it acceptable.

Breakfast was ok; Rooms were clean.

Service in terms of not helping to resolve customer problem; We came from India and it was 11 deg but hotel denied to turn heater on or provide electric heater. We had booked 2 triple rooms, 1 room had electric heater. Cranky flooring.

The facilities were quite basic, but clean and comfortable. Excellent location close to ferry terminal and Oban itself for an evening meal. A good welcome from the staff.

No cooked breakfast available because we needed to leave at 8am to catch the ferry.

If you want a hotel to be close to the ferry or railway then this is perfect.

The accommodation is clean and basic we did not have noise from the bar till 4am or from the ferry loudspeakers were at the but we were at the back. Worth giving them a ring

Proximity to station for early morning departure to Glasgow. Comfortable en suite room.

Very noisy all night - from ferry generators opposite our room plus car park and people standing outside talking loudly. Very little sleep. Pity cooked breakfast not available before 7.30am.

We were on our second visit, as we had enjoyed our stay in 2013. The nice surprise was the new hall and stair carpet. as the previous one was very worn and gave a bad first impression. The breakfast was even better than before with a bowl of prepared, delicious, ripe strawberries and blueberries and a big choice of top of the range yogurts.

    No complaints at all.
