nice staff and good breakfast
quite noisy area through the weekend; other guests came home late; thin walls..
Good size very lean room.Manager very helpful.
very friendly staff, very helpful. the hotel is so tiny yet so clean. Great value for the money.
the noise, specially on a Friday night.
appartment was amazing, greeted buy bernie the manager very freindly man.Breakfast very nicde would deffo stay again.
Nothing at all its so run down
Why anyone would pay to stay here i think they should pay you no toilet seat, the room not clean from cigarets to bottle tops and paper could not get in back of hotel at night due to vans parked then asked to move so we could get in it is a fire escape but could not pass also from 5 in the morning vans from work men really noisy also deliveries from trolly noisy also someone vomiting it was really discusting i did try to complain yet they did not deem that botherd i m still waiting for a call back from them but i wont hold my breath for that one. We could not wait to get out and did not even want to risk breakfast we would have gone home if not had a drink thats for sure we have stayed at newcastle jesmond hotel for less cost but loads better and clean so i would not recommend this hotel at all itwas a really bad experience.
Very friendly staff, all really helpful. Clean warm room, full English breakfast served. Parking available.
The staff were great the hotel was very nice and the breakfast exceptional. A warm friendly wellcome on arrival I stayed here with three friends we were cellerbrating my birthday and it was a great stay would certainly stay again
Comfort, value for money, friendly and caring staff
outside it looked a pub, but inside room was new and comfortable
only first appearence was not nice, but that is all
Staff were friendly , good value for money. Parking easy and good location to the town . My husband ,13 year old son and myself stayed there because we were visiting Beamish . We were very comfortable
Nothing, if being picky would say they need to get de cafe tea and coffee because there wasnt that option .
Staff, location & parking are great.
The hotel needs sprucing up in general but my bathroom was awful. The bathroom requires lots of repairs & the cardboard taped to the ceiling is terrible.
excellent breakfast big room good location easy parking for area
Access to bathroom hindered by bed shower was extremely weak
Good value room
Broken toilet seat, menue in the bar was largely unavailable.
Lovely place and Steve was a great host. Looks great but will be stunning when finished. Cheers
Didn't get there early enough to enjoy hospitality.
Very well placed for access to the town centre.
Most of the staff were generally friendly and helpful. It was cheap and available and in the area we needed to be.
We were initially over-charged and had to ask for a refund. One of the staff burst into the room thinking we weren't in; my husband had to step into the bathroom because he was undressed. Breakfast was disappointing and it was sometime before anyone appeared to take our order. It needs a revamp. We reported that the bathroom mirror light bulb wasn't working, but it wasn't replaced; the bed was on an angle and sloped to one side; the bathroom sink drain leaked.
Very friendly staff, large room, well stocked bar at very reasonable prices, excellent breakfast.Hotel in good location with plenty of bars nearby.5minutes from town centre by taxi,20 minute stroll to Quayside
Price is very good for what you receive but remember you are paying a budget price so don't expect the Ritz. Breakfast was very well presented with ample choice.
Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Good value for money
There was a big park and plenty of bara and restaurants.
The rooms were a bit dated
It was in a perfect location to visit our daughter at Uni in Newcastle but also had cafes, bars & restaurants nearby. The rooms were a comfortable size with everything we needed.
Check out time (10:30am) was slightly early for us but probably our fault for having a late night out, the night before!! Bit difficult getting up on time!
Staff were nice.
Poor condition of room.
The bathroom was new!
Cleanliness of the bed room poor. Dining room dirty. Supplied travel cot and high chair extremely dirty. Door did not shut properly.
Nice, full breakfast. Not too far from metro or grocery stores & restaurants.
Wifi was really poor. The shower situation is ridiculous. Low pressure & constant challenge getting a warm temp. Breakfast ends way too early & we weren't advised it ends even earlier during the week. Almost missed breakfast one day because of it. Bar is extremely low. And if you stay on a weekend, good luck getting any decent sleep thanks to rude guests.
My friend and I stayed for one night midweek and found the Kenilworth very good value for money. Hotel and room were very clean the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. Ample car parking was a bonus too. We would stay again
