The locatrion and the breakfast The proprietor was obnoxious. The place needs modernising, it smelled of damp and the walls in the sun lounge are crumbling, the windows are filthy so no sea view. They said there was entertainment on the 2 nights we stayed, the second night no entertainment not even a bar open. It looked like the hotel had closed. The proprietor when asked said we have cancelled it because not a lot of people are staying, what about the ones who were.

Friendly reception staff. Full English breakfast. No parking available; had to pay to park on the street. Classed as a mature couple yet were on the top floor. Couldn't sit where we wanted to at breakfast. Sea view completely ruined by the misted up double glazed window. No bathroom accessories supplied other than towels.

location. breafast was well presented and good. room too small, floor not level,tv old & rubbish. Not worth £140 per night,£50 per night would be fair. One hour time slot for breakfast is not enough

Totally disappointed. Room overlooked another bedroom so needed to keep curtains closed all the time. Ordered evening meal on day of arrival and was extremely disppointed, think most of it was frozen stuff warmed up. Was suppose to be a roast beef dinner but think "aunt Bessie" was the chef. Room filithy. Dirty cotton bud stuck in shower door. Tv broken, owner did replace it with another broken one, all he could say was "we only bouht these last week" (probably off the back of a lorry). Smell of sewers in room. Outside of hotel filthy which does not give good first impressions. Windows filthy, chest of drawers broken, furniture well 60's/70'S. Only thing positive was location and the fact the sheets appeared to be new. Would never recommend and would never stay again. Worst £144 I have ever spent on a 2 night anniversary break. Do not go to this hotel.

The location directly on the seafront promenade. The staff were friendly and made helpful recommendations where to find places to eat. We did not use the hotel restaurant for evening meals as friends were staying at other hotels in the area. Our double room was cosy to say the least and decoration in communal areas could do with updating.
