Every Staff member treats you like your some sort of VIP Mince pies by the entrance during the festive period Nice bread platter.
Room sizes maybe? Smaller than i expected but very comfortable though.
Cozy and welcoming at Xmas.
The Kensington Hotel combines style and service. always a pleasure to return to.
The Lobby is amazing, chimney beautiful free hot wine, tea, pastries and tangerines at the reception. They offer you a free bottle of water to take with you during the day Very friendly staff
It got a bit cold in the room, but ok it is an old building which is part of the charm, so not such a big deal. Heating also works
Very understanding staff gave us a quick room change when we complained about a fresh paint smell. Also late check out so I could do some last minute shopping before my evening flight. We took two rooms for the family. We usually stay at the Rembrandt but we found this location more serene and good proximity to restaurants and the tube
Extra cost for Breakfast, prefer choice of cooked or continental
Elegant & comfortable surroundings with excellent front of house staff on the door and reception.
Asking for hot toast and clean cutlery several times at the breakfast service. Maybe staff need designated zones!
The hotel is in a lovely part of town and has a nice ground floor and lobby. Our room was perfectly nice too, looking out on Queens Gate.
Our room was quite small; we are average-sized people, and at times had to turn sideways to use the shower. The staff is uneven. Our experience was that many do not speak English very well, and vary in terms of attentiveness; we dined in the lobby one night, and my husband's dinner came and had to be consumed before mine even arrived.
Kindness of the staff
We change the room ,to small , no shelves to staw our clothes
staff and location
view of the rows of air cond, units and not much else. Very small room for mid tariff price, whats a basic room like? I always say you get what you pay for, but my wife and i did not think so here
Friendly and Helpful Staff Proximity to tube Very pleasant common areas Well Appointed clean rooms
The reception areas were the most beautiful I have seen with roaring fires and lovely antique furniture. Yet the overall look especially the guest rooms was quite timeless and elegant. The attention to detail throughout this hotel was truly remarkable. The surrounding area of South Kensington is at once convenient yet pleasantly removed from the overwhelming hustle and bustle of other parts of London.
This may sound quite strange but my biggest regret about this hotel is that I was unaware of its existence until now and so missed many opportunities to enjoy its many delights. But from now on it will be the only hotel for me whenever I visit London.
Gym Food location
All of the staff and the rooms
The hotel is old and some of the rooms, despite lovely renovations, are a bit noisy. This prevented me from sleeping one night.
Characterful room Good quality furnishings Great pillows Comfortable lounges All staff were excellent
Grout around taps and shower was grubby Bath very high, dangerous to get in and out Breakfast not included in price which was quite high
The location is amazing, and everything is near from it. and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely go there again.
Staff very helpful
Noise from aircon outside room A real shame as the hotel is very good
Hand written card and the turn down service
There was no bath in the room & no hand held shower.
I loved everything about the hotel. Beautiful gracious drawing rooms. Very comfortable room & delicious breakfast
Excellent from all points of view. Nice setting, goof breakfast and comfortable room. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. The location is superb with the subway and plenty of simple but pleasant restaurants nearby
The bath-room is well-equipped but small and the TV programs offer a limited choice ( mainly news networks)
The front of the house staff were good. Very polite and friendly
For a superior room it was very small (probably smallest I've seen) and not what I expected for £200 a night. But it's an old building that they had modified but forgot about space. We could hear every time someone went up and down corridor even with the TV on.
Very small room on 5th floor.
Parking; complicated & expensive.
