The Kensington Hotel    

Fantastic staff, we came back from a consert and were provided with a fanstastic meal after the chef actually was should have gone home- what a service!

location was nearby to shopping and restaurants. Great for people watching, walking. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Not one thing

Excellent location, central still quiet with walking distance to South kensington station and main attractions. Nice, friendly staff. Just refurbished and very good fitness room.

As in many London hotels the room was quite small and no rooms avaible with separate beds, unless at a very high price.

Front staff is excellent, common areas are very well maintained, food is quite nice. I have stayed here several times and will continue to return.

The housekeeping staff don't quite know what they're doing and don't speak English. Rearrange things haphazardly in an amusing way. Didn't replace empty facial tissues. Annoying but not a deal breaker.

The service, the weather report cards, turn-down service, concierge, breakfast, location, quiet room, comfortable bed, nice bath tub.

Our room was a bit tight on space (not enough room to lay out both of our suitcases, for example), but well appointed, so we got over it.

Lovely hotel, attentive staff and great bar.

Room was cold, played around with the settings for a long time and then called room service who sent someone up. This didn't fix things and we were too tired to bother.

I asked for an iron on three occaisions, it took over an hour to get one sent up to our room causing us to be late for a reservation. Also the sink was broken, we informed the hotel and they never bothered to fix it.

the room was quite small (about 2ft between the bed and the wall) - but comfy And the TV didn't work, but that didn't really annoy me

I had a wonderful stay. Alessandro and Michele were excellent and very entertaining. All the staff I encountered were helpful and sociable. They all had something interesting to discuss. Great restaurant recommendations. I always felt welcome and well looked after.

I didn't like leaving; I would have liked to have stayed longer.

It's my favorite hotel in London. One of the best hotels that i ever visited: it's a good balance of value for money, friendly atmosphere, old time luxury and up-to-date ambiance. My strongly recommendations.

Beautiful hotel with period features with two large reception rooms with open fires, impressive building. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, tidy and well maintained. Situated in a great location, very accessible to tubes and buses. V&A within a 5 minute walk. Plenty of shops – high street and designer, restaurants and cafes within walking distance although very expensive for what they are which has a lot to do with the fact you are in Kensington.

Recommend staying if you are looking for a bit of a luxury city break but wouldn’t pay full price for the hotel as the rooms are on the small side and feel a little stuffy. Probably rate the room as a 4 star.

The hotel is beautiful, very grand traditional reception and lounge, areas the staff are very polite and helpful

Not all the rooms are up to the standard they should be for a 5 star hotel. The first room we were allocated was like a pokey box room with a double bed that took up most of the space. The decor in the room was dirty, the carpet appeared old and grubby and there was a gap along the skirting board along part of the wall where the floor had collpapse about and inch..definitely not 5 star standard. Once we complained and had our room changed we were very happy with the alternative. However Ido not feel that anyone booking the Kensington Hotel should be allocated a substandard room when they have paid to stay in 5 star accomodation.

It´s an old classic luxury hotel. The sitting room in the lobby area is very comfortable and nice. I love the open fireplaces and the bar. This is a favourite hotel for us in London.

There could be an updated SPA area, it would definitely benefit the hotel.

Excellent location

Bad and slow internet connection. They don't provide vinty kit and toilet tools on daily bases. You have to subscribe to thier news letter to get daily newspaper and water!! After i did, i didn' get anything.

The staff at the hotel made our stay memorable.
