I liked the fact it was a quiet Inn in a historic part of the world. Close to Ross on Wye and Symmonds Yat so for excellent for site seeing. Great little cosy Inn, nice rooms, well mannered staff that were friendly and kind.
COSY, QUIET, NICE RURAL INN
The staff were really friendly. The food was outstanding and the accommodation was perfect. Beautiful setting.
Very quiet location good food and service. The pub and accommodation is of a very high standard.
Comfort and cleanliness of room, quality of food (inc breakfast) and of the hotel generally. Would highly recommend
Wifi tends to be slow and can drop, a few boosters please.
Comfortable bed. Good Food.
Cannot fault the Kilpeck in any aspect. Highly receommended
Kilpeck Inn lies not too far from Hereford and is in an beautiful location. The facilities and staff were wonderful and attentive; the menu was varied and the food was excellent, just like the breakfast to set us on our way. the bed was truley comfortable and sumptuous. We intend to visit the Kilpeck Inn again soon.
good location, good choice of meals, good choice of beer and a relaxing place to goto
dust in the bed rooms, sat breakfast sausages under cooked you cant get in the rooms until 17;30 which is very poor
Location, fantastic food, comfortable bed, whole place beautifully renovated, spotless room, peace and quiet and well-located for Hereford
Having to go outside in the rain to get from accommodation to the bar/restaurant. Security light in car park going on and off all night long
Location was very good, meal at dinner time was good, evening meal was good .parking was excellent and the scenery was good and relaxing .we will be booking the three rooms next year
Breakfast-sausage cooked on the outside-but not in the inside.dust above head height ,Light on ceiling dust and dead flys there.i had three rooms booked and main issue was dust above head height
V comfortable room and bathroom. Good quality (and size of) towels. Wood burning stove in bar area. Interesting, seasonal menu and nice wines by the glass.
Attention to cleaning (top of tv was thick with dust). Access to bedrooms via the garden. Early morning rooster nearby! Rigid check in/check out times, but given that this is a remoteish village pub we understand why it's necessary.
Lovely location, great food, nice staff, sociable place tagged on to a great little Pub. Excellent value for money - will return.
WiFi didn't reach my upper level room, but I could access it in the bar. A small gripe considering the remote location.
the setting of the inn was lovely and the rom very comfortable although a little small. Dinner and breakfast were excellent despite my fish being undercooked which was a disappointment.
We stayed for one night and felt warmly welcomed from the minute we walked through the door. The staff were very friendly, the room was perfect, and when we went for dinner the food didn't disappoint either. We loved it!
Nice room and bathroom. Breakfast not bad
The biggest complaint was being woken up at 4:30 a.m. both mornings by a rooster crowing. If I am paying their prices I should be able to get some sleep. No one there after the bar closes, in case of emergencies. They don't have enough staff as we were outside waiting to have them open up for breakfast. The cook was late.2nd morning no serving staff..a different cook had to serve..Have to ask for every condiment at breakfast ..Dah..No one was there in the a.m to set up.It's like it's a hobby hotel.....Needs a coat of paint here and there and cobwebs in our room. It's a nice place but needs new management and to be run as a full time hotel...Then it would be a perfect place
very central for visiting some interesting towns in both england & wales. The food in the restaurant was varied & of a high quality
Given the fact that the Kilpeck Inn was located some way from any major towns it was dissapointing to find that no food was available on sunday evenings
Great staff, comfortable room, good food and drink.
Rooms are above the Bar / Restaurant so its noisy. Wi-fi does not work in the bedrooms. No breakfast before 8:00. No check out before 8:00 either as no one is about. Dogs sat in the bar area where people were eating. Very remote.
The staff, food, accommodation were all first class
A bit if a pain having such a late check in but otherwise no complaints at all.
Fantastic food - great menu and reasonably priced Seemingly no expense spared whilst renovating. Fab en-suite - with great water pressure.
Bed was a bit creaky The smoke alarm beeped every few minutes and couldn't be isolated - I was ok, as I took my hearing aid out, but my companion wasn't quite so lucky.
Friendly, welcoming and accommidating staff. Beautiful, reasonably priced food. The pictures don't do it justice!
There was an annoying beeping Heard from the room every few minutes that sounded like some sort of alarm. It didn't, however, disrupt sleep.
Rooms very well appointed and superior room a good size.
Menu too 'fancy' for us. Needs a little more attention to the cleaning, like cobwebs.
The room was excellent with a lovely, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and plenty of hot water. Good tea/coffee-making facilities also and flat screen TV.
Despite the restaurant being really busy, our evening meal was disappointing, not being particularly flavoursome. Also, it is normal for the waiting staff to check whether there was any problem with the meal, but this did not happen. However the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of menu. Unfortunately we found the staff lacking in good PR as, at check-out, no-one asked if we had enjoyed our stay as is normal and we just paid and left.
Quality hospitality in an off the beaten track location. Village pub showing strong upward mobility. Friendly and cheerful welcome.
Couldn't check-in until 5.30pm. Convenient for owner/management but not quite so for long distance travellers. Waiting staff less than 100% concentrating - had to ask twice for jug of water. Minor gripes.
