Everything was great unti Sunday evening but then they put on an event in the pub downstairs we were trying to have a quiet break away inthe country, but instead we got vey loud banging music the walls were shaking it was so loud which gave us a headache all evening so I would not recommend this place if you want peace and quiet

Room was clean and well equipped. High standard of fittings. Excellent breakfast

Only staff are behind bar, not able to assist too much. Bed sheet needed to be changed. Only feather pillows and duvet available

Wonderful peaceful location in pretty village. The church is definitely worth a visit and also the short climb up to the castle remains for the view. Excellent food with mostly friendly staff.

Would have liked to have booked in earlier as we arrived at lunchtime. A visit to Abergavenny filled in the gap but a freshen up would have been welcome.

Its remote, but that's no bad thing

Could not pick up the room key until 17:30, and there is little to do in the immediate area to pass the time

Food quality and presentation. Breakfast included in room rate. Modern rooms and bathroom all on first floor. Nice views beyond Inn public areas.

Evening menu a little limited for the longer stayer. Breakfast available for just one hour.

Friendly staff, good location room was quite high standard. Nice restaurant.

Bathroom was very cold, uncomfortable tiled floor - under floor heating didn't work. Nobody available to sort it out. We had to leave early so we were ineligible for breakfast. No staff there overnight apparently, so no food offered. Paid full price for the room. Not great.

Comfortable bed in modern room; spacious bathroom. Kilpeck church is remarkable.

Very good food but not enough vegetarian choices. Nice place to eat but lacking in pub atmosphere.

Off the beaten track. Peace and quiet.

A little bit pricey for the "pub" facilities on offer. We felt that for £115 B & B, one might have expected a summer-weight duvet to be made available. The luxurious winter-weight duvet provided made the bed very hot.

Beautiful, peaceful location in a quiet village but with easy access to the local attractions. Friendly, efficient service, comfortable spotless room, the restaurant meals were excellent.

    Nothing to dislike
