“ Nice location in the country. Quiet and restful ”

With a beautiful Romanesque church a few minutes’ walk away, this charming country Inn is nestled in beautiful rural Herefordshire. It has free Wi-Fi, local ales and food made using local produce. All of the bright, airy rooms enjoy views of the surrounding farmland. Each also includes a flat-screen TV, DVD player and a luxury tiled bathroom with Arran toiletries. On the English/Welsh border, the Inn’s restaurant uses ingredients sourced from the local area. The menu includes natural farmhouse ice cream and Herefordshire beef, poultry and pork. The traditional bar retains the Inn’s 18th-century character. With an open fire, there are exposed wooden beams and a range of real ales. Inn: 4 rooms The most recent booking for this hotel was made on 23 May at 16:31 from United Kingdom.

The beautiful and peaceful location, the excellent refurbishment and room, the quality of the pub restaurant and of the food and the reasonable cost. Both dinner and breakfast ticked the boxes. Nothing, this was our second visit and will not be the last.

Lovely room - bed wonderful, bathroom and television great. Cleanliness excellent. Situation very quiet and peaceful. Rudimentary complimentary beverages and toiletries. Lack of interest in us from mine hosts until payment due.Lack of response from serving staff when asked for things.Food meagre, poor and slow in coming (even when the only patrons one night) and not as described. Grittty leeks one night and fishy-tasting potatoes. Breakfast different in quality every day, especailly the coffee. A dirty wine glass one night. Terrible music. Only two draught beers when it was an award-winning pub and beer very cold.

I booked Kilpeck because it had been refurbished. I like that everything was clean and uncluttered and comfortable. Great that they have used an eco friendly approach. Modern clean bathroom (essential) good quality bedding and towels Just a suggestion ,you have to put the key fob into a holder to get electricity. If one needed to emergency exit during the night (in case of fire) one would be plunged into darkness and struggling in dark to find key hole. Keep fob and key seperate

Nice room, well thought out accommodation, easy to relax. Great beer. Nice area. This was a business trip but plan to go back and do some walking Food portions on the small side and more a gastro pub than a traditional pub.

Based in a small village, the pub is a good location for visiting Hereforshire and Welsh Borders. The Pub has been recently renovated to a good standard and the room was very comfortable, modern and clean. Food in the pub was good but quite pricey. We were there at a quiet time of year and the restarurant was quiet but the bar was welcoming. There seemed to be some disorganisation in the ordering of food as one night a number of the dishes were not available. A nice place to stay but they need to address the check-in time issue below. The 5.30 pm check-in time is a real issue which they need to address. This is far too late especially in winter. We had been travelling for most of the day but had to wait in the car park until they opened.

very clean although we had booked tey had no record of the booking and we had the standard double room insteaofnthe best one that we had booked, the price was changed to take this into consideration. We were told by the manager later that another member of staff had misplaced out booking form. The wine we chose was not available and the food was very ordinary. As a veggie I had no choice as there was only one veggie option. It sounded very nice... vegetables on a bed of puff pasty. When it arrived the vegetables were placed on what could onlybe described as hard crisps(3) ! when I questioned the staf about this the manager announced that he had spoken to the chef and that this is how the chef cooked it ..........that he liked to squash down the puff pasrty into these hard little flat 'crisps' ...ugh !! In the morning having been told to help ourselves to juice and cereal, we had to ask for glasses and spoons and had togo in search for sugar off other tables. The staff and manager were very friendly but I can only describe my stay as organized chaos!

Stayed for two nights as we were in the area for a family wedding, slightly early for the 5.30 check in but this didn't cause a problem and we were shown to the 'Monnow' room. Very impressed, very spacious room and en suite. The room was very clean and had everything you'd need for a very comfortable stay. Had a meal from the bar menu which was very tasty and the rice pudding for desert was really special......could have had two! Breakfast was equally as good. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the only drawback for a weekend away is that the bar/restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening but that won't stop me staying again when I'm next in the area.

Room was very well appointed with lovely bed linen - the bathroom was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The evening meal menu had plenty of choice The bathroom was small with a tiny wash basin. The inn does not open until 5.30pm. The breakfast had little choice of cereals, fruit juices, jams etc. and the tables were laid without a sugar basin or milk jug.

The size and quality of the newly built room was exceptionally good. The location was quiet and within beautiful countryside. The Butcombe bitter real ale (one of several available) was in served in top condition, and the delicious breakfasts were individually cooked to order and served by friendly staff. It was impossible to find out what type of food was available in the restaurant/bar at what times without asking the staff. There was no relevant information in the room (although the breakfast menu was given), and no menus were posted outside the restaurant. On Sunday lunchtime the vegetarian choice was one dish only, which I didn't enjoy, and no fish was available. Overall, it seemed to be presumed that you were there to eat meat, so if like us you don't, we cannot recommend that you stay at the Kilpeck Inn. This is a great shame, because in all other respects the hotel is exceptionally good.

the location is perfect, close to Hereford hey-on-wye and Ross-on-wye but in a lovely quiet village. The inn is modern but has retained it's character. The locals make visitors welcome and are very friendly. The 4 rooms are all to a high standard and set on the first floor with a separate entrance from the main inn entrance. The staff are all excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them, if you need anything just ask. Slight problem finding the kilpeck inn when it is dark, check in not before 5:30pm.
