Friendly welcome, very clean bedding smelt fresh, staff and owner attentive to any needs, overall a very pleasant stay. Perfect if you want to get away from it all.
No beans with the full english breakfast lol although it was very tasty.
Everyone was so welcoming, even the locals. This was a trip down memory lane for my partner, the recent renovations by the new owners are very classy whilst retaining its charm. The food is fantastic with classic ingredients and a modern twist, flavour was not lost in the translation. It even snowed for us making it a magical pre-Christmas break.
Nothing to dislike all wonderful.
pub grub and staff
Food in bar was very good. Very cosy fire. Good breakfast. Village is great for walking.
Beds uncomfortable and duvet and cover flimsy.Only one small bottle of shower gel for two people for two days - not replenished. Shower pressure bad with hot and cold water alternately. In bar (recently refurbished), screws sticking out of bench seat
Michael and his staff make your stay a warm comfortable and enjoyable the food s amazing and worth every penny
Fantastic staff especially Georgina. High quality breakfast food. Nicely decorated warm rooms. Top pub food at a very good price. Little treats left in the room for arrival. Nice smelling/quality toiletries in room. The bedrooms were quiet even above a pub.
nice view ,quite quiet but the food was amazing, superb chef and we would stay again.
the en-suite was nicely done but the bowl is too small not allowing the tap to work properly. the mattress was not the best and think it would be best changed!
Food, staff, real ales, open fire
Nice bar Excellent food Friendly staff Good service Nice welcome pack
Bedroom quite small
It was a country pub with a modern twist. Small bedroom but beautifully decorated. Perfect get away to a wonderful village! Recommend the home made pie my husband had.
- lambs liver main meal was tiny!! I expect hearty meals in a Yorkshire! - the bed squeaked every time we moved.
The Kings Head is a wonderful place to stay set in beautiful Kettlewell. The staff are the most professional and friendly staff we have ever come across. Nothing is too much trouble. The DVD library was a lovely touch and the food is Devine! Heaven we can't wait to go back
excellent service all round, nice clean rooms with good facilities and supurb bar, very good breakfast included, would definatly stay again
We had a fantastic stay -lovely rooms and bar area. The food was amazing! All of the staff were friendly and helpful - I could not fault the place!
Modern decor, nice toiletries and complimentary items. Nice view from from our room. Friendly staff.
Cramped seating at breakfast time.
Booked 2 nights for our 20th anniversary and had our meal there on the first night which was stunning, not to mention, they'd decorated our table with confetti and 'anniversary balloon', really nice touch by Mike and Jenny.Very welcoming staff, Cameron's a great laugh, even though he's from the wrong side of the border and a Burnley fan but don't hold that against him. The food is top notch, you won't be disappointed and if you need a base in the Dales to stay, you'd be mad not to choose The Kings Head. Can't fault the place and will be back for sure.
The pub is in a great setting, made welcome from the start, booked an early evening meal which was great, good hand pulled beer. Breakfast in morning was really good with locally produced ingredients. . Followed by a stroll through the stunning countryside. . It was spot on and will definitely visit again. What a gem !!!!!
The sausages at breakfast were superb
The church clock striking every quarter of an hour. Didn't sleep very well and was shattered after the weekend
FOOD PARTICULARLY BREAKFAST AND VIEWS AND COURTESY
Welcoming staff Good food Comfortable bed Good shower Drying facilities for walker
Very friendly staff led by the owner-chef. Excellent food with nice variations on typical fayre. In village so handy for other pubs - although the lack of dogs in the King's Head was a bonus for me. Picturesque views from bedroom window.
Parking is limited but once you find a place you can leave it there!
Picked the Kings Head for a one night stay for a cycling weekend. What a great location. The staff could nt have been more helpful. Excellent food, evening meal and breakfast. And a very good room, well decorated in keeping with the rest of the building. .highly recommended.
Could nt fault it at all...
I stayed for three nights and was not disappointed, location was perfect, the food exceptional, delicious and well presented, staff very friendly and attentive, there was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere to the place, the room was perfect for one person but (James 1) a bit noisy due to kitchen extraction/fan unit. Will defiantly stay again.Food so good that they get booked up very quickly so make dinner reservations early!
The very sad and dehydrated hanging baskets in the front. Didn't stay long enough
Lovely room with panoramic views, friendly accomodating staff, magnificent breakfast, great dinner menu. Fantastic except for........
THE BED!! I slept badly on the first night and after swapping sides, my wife had a sleepless night on second. Dont want to sound churlish but suggest a new mattress or bed.
