Me and my best friend went to harry potter .the owner gave is a lift and was very helpful during our stay
The room was spacious and facilities very adequate.
The room just needed some dusting but in general it was very clean.
Excellent location for Harry potter tour. Meals lovely
Bedding clean but toilet bath and shower head haven't been cleaned in a while. Out dated and in desperate need of paint and carpets
Friendliness of the staff. Very close to Harry Potter Studios.
Oldie worldie built 17th century. Car parking Good power shower
Unwelcoming atmosphere on arrival. Simply asked for cash. Not at all bothered. Threadbare carpets. Piles of dirty laundry heaped in corridor for entire stay. Bed worn out & springs jumping through the night. Furnishings grim. Stay was grim. We left around 9am. No one to be seen
The fact that the hotel had a lot of history. The public rooms were quaint and cosy. All drinks when we arrived in the afternoon were only £2.50.
Cobwebs in the bedroom and general shabbiness although bed linen was clean so we didn't complain. The stair carpet was almost threadbare although the brochure stated the hotel had been refurbished.
Great period hotel loved the old features and the history of the place. Bed and facilities very good with all the comforts we required.
No breakfast - had to travel to a local cafe to get breakfast.
beautiful view outside and lovely very old Hotel. staff - very friendly lovely man name is Clive respect us with Deaf peoples .
we don't like shower not working and need more cleaning the shower room.
It was a very good place to stay very comfortable , clean, traditional style , value for money , nice beer bar , quite and the most important parking.
I could slightly listen noice from other room , and the way to toilets was bit squeezed I had to climb up stairs while mind my head and , their was a slight furniture smell so more room freshness would help , no air conditioning but it was not important .
Staff were very friendly and helpful, booked us taxis and even drove us to the train station the next day to save us the taxi trip. We had our dinner there, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The room was very clean and comfortable. The whole hotel was very comfortable. Cannot fault it!

Great location for the Harry Potter tour. Amazing food. Gorgeous period features, staff we're so welcoming.
No breakfast but village nearby has cafés or there's a huge Tesco Extra about 10 minutes away that has a cafe.
nothing, the front door was left open all night, putting us all at risk
everything, the shower didnt work, the remote for the TV didnt work, i had to wire up the ty to get it to work, no hot water the kettle kept shorting out, and the room was absolutely filthy!
restaurant food very good. staff very friendly and helpful. bar pleasant with character.
room not clean (cobwebs & dust etc.) shower head not fully functional. stairs to rooms seemed dangerous due to step movement and frayed carpet.
I liked the staff very much.....they are very obliging, the owner was very welcoming and has a great sense of humour....the staff could'nt do enough for us.....they always smiled which is important.....so far very very good.........
There is'nt anything we do not like..... Honestly.......
Location, good, cosiness
The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a delicious meal and a few drinks in the pub where staff were happy to help with good quick service. It is in a good location for walking along the canal and near a lovely cafe for breakfast.
The rooms and corridors could have been cleaner and the beds were quite squeaky.
The price of the beer. Molly and the nice young waiter.
The room was dirty we were put in what they call the anex which is a pub / house round the corner. The excuse was the hoovers nossle falls off so the carpet cant be cleaned??? We would not stay again.
Pleasant, helpful staff.
Shower was worn out.
