Like I said you pay for what you get. Can't really moan when you agree to a room rate at £23 pound.
No duvet needs some TLC!
The room was filthy, and the carpets were well worn out and soiled. The curtains were torn and smelly. the television did not work properly and there was no remote control. Beds were very old and like a trampoline and the mattress was soiled and smelly. The headboard was very dirty and smelt quite a bit. The board holding the mattress was shredding to bits and the material was hanging off it. The beds were very uncomfortable and gave me a bad back in the morning. The taps on the sink in the bathroom were dripping all night and disturbed our sleep. We hardly slept at all with all that noise. The toilet did not flush properly. The bath tub was extremely filthy and we had to put a towel in the tub to stand on. The floor in the bathroom was not even cleaned, and we could not wait to get out of the hotel quick enough. The decor was outdated. As soon as we entered the reception, it smelt stale. The man at the reception was not at all helpful. It took him ages to get us another pillow. He was a bit arrogant. There was no other staff except the receptionist. The hotel was not disable friendly. I would never ever recommend anybody to go to this hotel and nor would we ever go back again.
Cheap, not cheerful, poor breakfast, old decor, noisy, tv doesn't work, wifi doesn't work well either
Steam room . Sauna. Swimming pool which i did not use.
No spoon to make coffee. No shower curtain or screen.room 30 Uncomfortable mattress got back ache. Old style TV no remote only two channels. Needs decorating leak stains on ceiling.
The free upgrade
The room was old and first room was smelly and damp and only 5 channels on the tv
Everything. The stay was completely and utterly diabolical. Staff were rude. There is no way in hell it would of passed health and safety checks. And it had certainly not been cleaned for years. Changed rooms twice and still was no improvement. Grime and mould everywhere. Bathroom was black. Smell was disgusting. I feel sorry for anyone who stays here. False advertisement. Birdfood for breakfast. Sockets hanging off walls. No duvet on beds. Sick stains hadnt been cleaned. This hotel gives booking.com a bad reputation and makes it look as though they are allowing rooms of this state AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I had not read the reviews but i knew for £25 the room would be pretty dismal so i booked the honeymoon suite for £50 in the hope it would not be too bad. It was conveniently located for the wedding reception and that is the only good thing i can say.
only one pillow was provided, there was no mattress protector, no toiletries were provided, no glasses in the bathroom, only one bedside lamp, no chair provided with the dressing table, only 5 very fuzzy tv channels, no spoons provided for tea making. i took these issues up with front desk. The only thing they were able to rectify was to provide one plastic spoon.
hotel all of staff except one who knows who he is had to ask for everything from towels to tea milk etc the room was never cleaned no heating all radiators no valves given a small fan heater verry noisy paid extra for room thinking there would be no problems
The location is just beautiful
The floor too noisy
Nothing at all !!!! The place is a s**t hole Had a shower and halfway into it shower went off as I was full of soap.tv was showing its inner workings due to broken screen, no bathroom light,no soap damp patches all over walls Never again would sleep in my van.
The whole experance did not even get in the bed left the light on,had to work the next day and I looked like death I also think rooms are rented out by the hr !!!!!!!
Rooms were big, bathroom clean and fresh, quiet even though it has it's own bar/club
Room a little dated with various stains/marks on walls and radiator, beds could do with being updated.
The restaurant, lovely food and priced right but in another part of the building.
Wallpaper hanging off, mould on bath tiles, thermostat broken, only 2 channels on TV,shower took 10 mins to work, permanent dripping tap, stained carpets and front door didn't lock.
Room was spotless, bed comfortable, shower hot so truly excellent value for money.
Hotel is 'tired'and need some TLC
shower broke first day reported this never even got looked at
The gentleman on reception greeted me warmly when I arrived.
Shower did not work. Hot water tap did not work on the sink.
Needs a bit of TLC.Staff friendly enough, very helpful. Accommodation clean. Comfortable bed. All in all, good stay for the budget price.
Not disabled friendly. Small portable with awful picture(although they are trying to update tvs room by room)
Breakfast ?? Continental breakfast would be better not to advertise a breakfast
Leaving the next day.
Its dated, smells musty and of stale cigarette smoke, the walls had damp and peeling wall paper. The room was very basic the wardrobe door was nailed shut the draws wouldn't close properly and the bedside table was missing a draw. The bedding was sparse and basic and i awoke with bites on my legs the mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable. There was a dodgy stain on the wall and ceiling. The tv did not tune in and was unwatchable and the hotel was noisy. The doors to each room were cheap internal doors for houses. I advise anyone to stay clear of this hotel you would be better off booking into a kennel. Booking.com shouldn't advertise this hotel
Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Filthy room, shoddy, old mattress with springs popping out, broken furniture, dirty old carpet, walls scruffy and in need of painting, a quilt the thickness of a pancake, cold, corridors stank of damp, tv broken, no remote, only 5 channels with virtually no reception. Will never go there again. Worst hotel in the UK I've ever stayed in.
Shabby room bed not made coffee and milk not replenished no plug in sink table lamp not working
Inexpensive accommodation, good location.
Extra charge to use Debit Card, Electric Sockets in room hanging off the wall, the light bulb outside the bathroom needed replacing, poor TV reception (at best) from ancient TV set. A lot of noise from the adjacent bar.
When we asked about the breakfast, they told we had to ask for it in the "reception". It was a box with orange juice, a cookie, and something else. Not what I expected, but it was fun.
It was nit the nicest nor pretiest nor the cleanest nor... We slept and that's that. I woke with 3 bites on my feet.
