Lovely setting, very picturesque area and even though it was only a coaching inn it had a pretty beer garden and seemed more like a hotel. We stayed in room 1 which had a dressing area separate to the bedroom and ensuite which was lovely. Staff were friendly on arrival but on the day if checking out were completely the opposite. Everything felt like too much of an effort, we asked to buy some soft drinks in the morning as we had had to check out by 10.30am and it was a very hot day and were told the lady couldn't really serve us drinks before 12 even though they were soft drinks. She however did eventually do so but very begrudgingly so. Then the lady asked me what time we were getting picked up as if she didn't even want us to sit in the beer garden. Felt this spoiled the whole experience and for this reason I would definitely return to the area but probably wouldn't stay at this coaching inn again.

A warm welcome established the friendly and helpful staff - this family run business clearly has a good team working with them. The rooms were clean and had modern furnishings. The old building retains a lot of its character, so don't expect the walls and ceiling to be completely straight! Excellent dining, with a choice of restaurant or bar; the included full English breakfast in the morning was truly outstanding. Highly recommended for a getaway weekend to the countryside - plenty of walks in the area plus Tetbury just down the road.

Fantastic place, if you had forgotten anything it didnt matter, they provided everything, Some wondeful little touches ie quality street and hot choc sachets, I loved it there. Perfect location for us as it was a stopover on the way to catch a ferry to Ireland meaning a not so early start as we would have had from home. Highly recommended !!!!

Excellent food, nice touches in the room (fresh milk, chocolates, mineral water), very comfortable, good location, ample parking Some poor maintenance - leaky shower, digital tv box not working so no tv in room, a bit shabby round the edges

It's a lovely place, easy to find and friendly staff. The food was really tasty, and the cleanliness of the room was excellent! I particularly appreciated the chocolates :o) There were no negatives, it's the best place I've stayed in for many years.

Stayed for one night on a short weekend break to do some walking in the Cotswolds. The staff at the Kings Arms were all very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent and with good sized portions and a varied menu and the service was very good. We stayed in the Superior Twin Room which was in the converted stable block & were very impressed with the room. The room was spacious & very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent and set us up well for another day of walking. Would definately return & would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful part of the country. Cannot in all honesty say that we found anything that we did not like about The Kings Arms, although would probably say that you probably need a car to make the most of the local area, unless you are intending on not moving out of the hotel.

Great breakfast, great food, great atmosphere for evening meal and pub with open fire. Very attendant staff. Loved the fact I was given fresh milk for my tea/coffee in my room. Tidy, up-to-date decor and very clean. Accessible location with good parking. I would definately stay here again.

We spent a wonderful couple of days in the Cotswolds and used the inn as a base to visit Bath. The place was very cosy and we felt well catered for when we spent a boozy afternoon propping up the bar drinking the local beers. Our double room was spacious and comfortable with a good matress and even had a dressing room. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of clean towels and cleaning products. The dinner menu was wide ranging with a selection of specials. The fish and chips had a great local beer batter. All in all a comfortable visit. We were a bit surprised when there was no water pressure to have a shower one morning- apparently a regular occurrence. Our host thought it was due to the number of Royals thereabouts! The shower could do with a new screen.

The location was good for us, staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food and beakfast were all very good. Thought the room was rather dated furnishing wise the bathroom could definitely do with a refurb ! Thought it was more a £70 to £75 a night quality rather than £95.

We were given a warm welcome by the staff. The breakfast was excellent, and consisted of locally sourced food. - The room was a bit grubby (cobwebs). - The room that we stayed in had night storage heaters and electric heaters, and it was cold on arrival!
