The Buck is perfectly positioned overlooking the village green in Reeth. Our room, the one with te four poster, has one of the best views you can have from a bathroom. The bar below is friendly too.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel is set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restaurant serves dishes made using local recipes and produce, and the bar serves real ales.

Beautiful location; clean and comfortable with friendly hosts.
A great area for walking - at any level. Great views of dales and moorland, with lots of wildlife.
Fond a a lovely little cafe/hotel in Twaite for lunch and in the evening we ate in the Bridge at Grinton which had a fantastic atmosphere. Lots of dogs , children and locals enjoying a pint. Good log fire was appreciated as the weather was dreary.

A quiet typically Swaledale market town.
A quiet typically Swaledale market town. Great small shop, well thought out with post office and gifts. Also paper shop and great pubs. A good base to walk from and accessible drives/walks through Swaledale along the valley or up and over. Wensleydale is a short drive over and the Buttertubs Pass is spectacular. Gorgeous 18th century town of Richmond is to hand and well worth a visit. Cannot recommend Reeth highly enough to serious walkers, strollers or sightseers. Incredible views of the dales and friendly Yorkshire people.

Wasn’t what I expected, it was better, it was beautiful, quite a few little shops, pubs were welcoming with open fires, free parking but always good to put donation in boxes provided, possibly for upkeep, people were friendly, lovely walks all over through field, over styes, over rivers, stunning we loved it.

Overall a brilliant stay - log fires, good beer ,food and friendly welcome. The room was cosy, with a throw on the bed if too hot! There was a TV,coffee/tea/biscuits/kettle with an extension lead.A private bath and toilet was included with separate entrances, so no queue for the loo! There was an opportunity to upgrade but happy with the room!

One of the most beautiful Dales villages with great walking and pubs. The Black Bull was friendly with good food and a wide selection of Ales. The other pubs were great too. The Red Lion at Langthwaite is really worth a visit to experience a traditional Dales Pub. Excellent location to explore Swale Dale and Arkengarth Dale. The drive from Layburn to Reeth is sensational whist the other routes over to Wensley Dale via Askrigg or over Buttertubs pass to Hawes are so dramatic. A paradise for walking, scenery, beer and food!

A quiet hamlet with a couple of pubs and shops.
A quiet hamlet with a couple of pubs and shops. Being in Richmondshire it is located in rolling hills which provides fantastic views of the countryside. A lovely place to stay for a night if you’re completing the coast to coast challenge!
This is a lovely, cosy property perfect for a couple. It's tucked way behind a pub but it's very private and quiet. There was a wood burning stove which helped to keep the cottage warm.
The bed was very comfy and very warm and the cottage was clean, with everything we needed. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch.
Reeth is a bustling wee village with pubs and shops and a market on Fridays.
Spent 3 nights at Ivy cottage for the new year festivities, What a lovely place this is, Top quality accommodation, perfect location and Donna the landlady is very nice and friendly, she also cooks an excellent breakfast as well, We’ve stayed in the village of Reeth quite a few times now and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future, this will be the first place I’ll look for accommodation.
The views around the hotel were brilliant and staff were so friendly. Room was cosy, clean and comfy. Given a complimentary couple drinks as it was my partners birthday, which was a nice touch. Food was also very good, which for the price should be expected, as it was quite expensive.
Beautiful Reeth is well worth a stopover and more. The Black Bull was a great base from which to explore. The food was good with very big portions. I think the decor could do with a little more investment but that’s a minor grumble as the staff were friendly and attentive.
The Black Bull at Reeth is brilliant , the food and drink , the location really good for a 2 or 3 night stay over ,ideal touring centre and a lovely village . The owners are very welcoming and look after there customers . Excellent all round ,
Lovely little B&B on the green in Reeth. Our room was really comfortable with all the little touches that let you settle in. Donna was very welcoming and made us great breakfasts. We wish we could have stayed longer.
This is a well run country house hotel in a marvelous location. It achieves its reputation through the comfort of its rooms, the high standard of its cuisine and the welcome provided by its staff.
The Hotel was clean and very tidy, the food was excellent and good portions for the price. The staff got a little friendlier as they got to know you.I would certainly recommend this to anyone.
