Owners were friendly & very accommodating. Excellent breakfast & evening meals. Comfortable room & great value for money..
Good, honest no frills pub stay. Best pie and chips I've had - hand cut chips no less!
Cobwebs in the breakfast room.
Convenient location. Friendly atmosphere
Slightly disappointed that WC for Room 2 was not en suite but outside room across landing. On line pic suggested we would be in Room 3 where we have stayed before and is completely en suite.
Landlady was friendly, she was willing to provide cereal and toast for our very early start. The bed was comfortable.
Room un-welcoming, cheap furniture, no carpet on bedroom floor, dirty bedside mats, no hand towels provided, no light over sink and no shaver point. No decaffeinated tea available. Only one bedside light. No evacuation instructions in bedroom.
The guests next door were really loud
We liked our rooms, they were basic, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ok. The landlady was very accommodating, she did make sure we had everything we needed.
I suppose it comes with the territory being in a pub, there was a party on the Saturday night, which went on quite late, after midnight, and was very rowdy, however it wouldn't stop us from going again. No dinner menu for children
The kings arms was just across the road from downside abbey where I was working. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The food and beer was very good to would stay again.
The WiFi by The Cloud which my tablet was saying had no security but that maybe just me.
Location was good Staff were friendly
Too much clutter everywhere Could do with renovate & decorating £78 per night is way too much for the accommodation
Good beers, pleasant bar, helpful and welcoming staff. I was travelling with my labrador dog, and this is a good pet-friendly place with easy access to the countryside
Room no 3 was quiet no noise as others reported and all en-suite
Irritating small shower
Really nice, quiet homely feeling pub. Great staff, very polite, very pleasant, good pub grub, great value for money will be staying again
Beautiful location, typical English pub, dog friendly
Shower temp varied a lot
warm welcome clean easy to find comfortable
the bed was good and the food very good. couple who run it, help full, would tell people i know about the place.we did not use the wi-fi.
there was nothing we did not like.
Excellent bar food and friendly owners, good value for money for a single night. Good breakfast at a time to suit. Rooms were comfortable and clean
Room was with shower but without toilet, which was nearby but separate. Shower was o.k. but lacked power
Lovely people, really friendly and kind. Lovely atmosphere in the pub.
Plumbing is noisy and washing up of dishes, after midnight, was just below our room which made it hard to get to sleep.
Everything the foods was Excellent as well as the staff planning to go back love it

Comfortable room, nice décor Very kind & friendly landlady Good breakfast options Great price
Very little sleep due to noise from pub downstairs - even after closing tie people were outside talking quite loudly for a considerable time. The location meant sound carried but room was over the beer garden so no chance of an early night after travelling for over three hours. People talking outside until the early hours meant a very late night! This was the biggest let down and would put me off staying again despite all the cons.
The rooms were just what we needed (for 5 people). The food was excellent and the service very prompt and of a high standard.
Lovely clean room, friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast.
Bed was a little uncomfortable and it was a shame that it is a shared toilet rather than in the en-suite.
Staff, Food. (the choice & quality of food was fantastic & locals Ales.
Small electric shower. Noise from pub, Road & beer (smoking) area if you have a early start. (Take ear plugs and not a problem).
Food was excellent. Very welcoming and friendly and our dog was made very welcome by all. Quirky and fun.
The inn have two (2) rooms above the pub. We were the only guests and got all the attention. Already in the evening our cups and plates for breakfast were made on a biljard table in the pub. Very familiar athmosphere. Very friendly owners. Very nice for a stop over if your passing by!
