Comfortable and pleasant surroundings
location, bar food
The staff were friendly and despite it being a pub, the room was quiet. The room was very clean with new carpet and reasonable furniture.
We were disappointed with the cooked breakfast - one rasher of bacon, a small sausage (both of which were under-cooked) a few beans and mushrooms, and an egg. We could have had a small slice of black pudding, but declined the offer. Plenty of toast, however. Only one teabag in the pot and the coffee was instant! The TV would not pick up many main channels and the bathroom radiator never warmed up. All in all, we thought it expensive for what we got.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere. We arrived later than expected, but still had a nice evening meal in bar.
Extra payment for taking 2dogs. This was not made clear on booking.com website or Kings Arms website.
Food was excellent. Service good and very friendly. Mally the manager was outstanding.
Small bed. Would prefer King bed. Room a bit warm at night. Would have preferred a lighter duvet and feather pillows!
Excellent location for a stopover when travelling south. Good specials menu with plenty of local produce. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff.
I'd forgotten double beds were so small!

The location was very attractive The staff were extremely helpful and friendly
The location was excellent for someone with a dog, having a pleasant and convenient area behind the hotel where the dog could be allowed off the lead.
The quality of the food let down the hotel. The menu was 'ambitious' and ingredients generally were of inferior quality.
Great restaurant and bar, staff very helpful and friendly, we were given a family room with a huge bathroom, really enjoyed it, beautiful village.
Everything was spot on, we liked everything
