Bridlington
The Kings Arms Hotel is in the center of the old English town of Westerham, a 5 minute drive from highway M25. Traditional food is served in the friendly bar and restaurant. The well-presented hotel has rooms featuring modern facilities, including TVs, hairdryers, individual private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy a selection of cask ales in the unique cellar bar, which was once the historic quarter jail. There is also open-air dining in the grounds and a terrace for guests to relax on. Westerham is an old market town, the former home to Winston Churchill. The Kings Arms is just a 30-minute drive from Gatwick airport, and Blue Water shopping center is a 20 minute drive away. Hotel Rooms: 16, Hotel Chain: Old English Inns.

Car parking, staff friendly (especially breakfast waitress - very good and friendly - and James in restaurant in evening, but all very nice anyway), evening meal deal, location, price, wifi Drinks a bit on expensive side, no heating in room or bathroom for two days (other than fan heater), had to go find a loo roll as no spare provided one day. Possibly because of connecting door, we found it a bit noisy when we had loud people next door a couple of nights. Bedrooms need more lighting, in our view - we find them on the dark side.

Responsiveness of staff. Front desk staff were very responsive to our request to change rooms for the 2nd night as well to fix some issues in the ensuite bathroom. Location in Westerham which is a lovely village. Good parking behind the hotel. The corridor/fire door layout is cumbersome, although necessary in a building of that age and complexity. Our first room was located over the kitchen exhaust fan outlet - both noisy and smelly - important to view the room assigned before carrying suitcases up the stairs! Bathrooms lack adequate shelf space.

Staff attentive, hotel clean and bright. Good ensuite and shower. Breakfast very good making it very good value. Window in my room would not stay open and some panes had obviously just been reglazed as it was covered with finger prints. Asked,at reception, for them to sort out window so I could have it open that night but they did not even get back to me, which in my opinion was very poor. Apart from that it was good.

The room was very well decorated and clean; this must have changed since some of the other reviews I had read. Our request to have the sofa bed made up had not been done but someone was sent immediately to do so. Everything about the room was impressive for the price. Breakfast selection was good. Staff were pleasant enough but not well trained: we waited a long time to check in because someone was making lengthy enquiries but no apology was given, and when asking in the bar (where food was being served) what the soup of the day was, the barman a) said he didn't know b) made no attempt to find out. These are small things which can so easily be solved.

Hotel is tastefully refurbished and very comfortable. We stayed on a very hot night and the window rattled all night. Could also hear fan in kitchen switching on and off all night.

The hotel has been refurbished and our room, although small, was well furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and altogether the stay was extremely good value. The weakest point was the evening meal which we decided to take in the restaurant. The food was stodgy and uninteresting but adequate and plentiful and fine for the price.

Cheap. Convenient. Nice breakfast! Terrible service in bar area, gave up in the end and went to the Grasshopper! Luke warm to cold shower in the morning. Stayed in room 3 - very warm even though cold outside and heating off! Would be unbearable in summer

There was no hot water in the morning. It took 40mins for egg on toast. We had supplied the bank account details when we booked online and then they said we hadnt paid or had the details. Requested 13 rooms and we got told they would be twin and they were double! 2 colleagues had to share the same bed.

As a regular visitor to London and envirions I have to say that my stay at King's Arms Hotel was most enjoyable. The staff were able to amend my booking when storms delayed my arrival and the friendly reception confirmed my belief that this was a hotel that cared about its guests. My room had been upgraded at little extra cost and the room had great cacilities. Also worthy of mention is the free wifi, which contrasts sharply to the many highly priced London hotels I have endured. The food was also of a high standard. My starter of Croxton Manor Cheddar and Ruddles rarebit tart with tomato smoked garlic chutney was excellent and the smears of Daddies sauce was genius! The main of Surf n Turf was also better than most, with Rib Eye that was not only tender but served hot! The breakfast the next day was very good and the overall impression is 'Excellent!' I have no hesitation in recommending The King's Arms in Westerham.
