After a very long day at a conference and family visiting, on the go for 12 straight hours, we really enjoyed the comfort of the bed. Out like a light! Staff very helpful and food delicious. And then there was the leisurely walk down by the river and round to the very big church. Good start to Sunday. Many thanks.
From the moment we arrived every member of staff was excellent, very friendly & helpful. Its in a great location for exploring Christchurch you dont need to use your car.
Car park is small
Great location, lovely decor and accommodating staff
We were made very welcome at The Kings Hotel by all the staff at reception, the bar and breakfast! Would highly recommend!
All staff very friendly & polite. Could not fault the hotel in anyway.
fantastic room great food friendly & efficient staff location
parking a little difficult, but can be managed.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly Food was divine! Interior is beautifully tasteful.
Hot Loft Room which made our stay unacceptable Lack of Aircon due to it being a listed building however the manager has given us a free nights stay because of our bad nights sleep so we are looking forward to going back and sleeping in a bigger room on the 1st or 2nd floor
Picturesque and in a perfect spot. Very helpful staff and excellent menu.
Air conditioning not working.
this hotel was very good value for the money. and a very helpful
The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
The carpet in our room had a few stains and looked like it could do with a clean.
Lovely location, lovely hotel, excellent staff, great food. Pretty much faultless.
Name is a bit odd, as it's really not close to the harbour, couldn't access the wifi at all, but didn't really care, nice to get away from it all.
Excellent room. Great value for money. Restaurant excellent except for under-cooked desert. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Nothing too much. Talk to them, they are what made it such an excellent stay.
Being fussy, an under-cooked apple desert which I must say was removed from my bill.
The receptionist was very helpful and she helped us by letting us check in slightly early and also check out slightly later than planned. The room was large and the bed comfortable.
The room was far too hot
Staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
Room wasn't very well soundproofed. Lots of noise from the room next door.
Car parking difficult
Me and my son had a delightful time during our stay here and would definitely go back in the future.. Staff are very friendly and helpful... Loved it :))
The Hotel is owned by a group which allows you use the Spar facility at the Kings Harbour Hotel. The breakfast was good and the staff are very friendly.
Booking.com website incorrect. Should read Kings Arms!!
Staff - all excellent - waiters faultless- reception staff excellent position in town very good breakfast cleanliness of rooms Good value for money Hotel attractive
parking - not clearly defined - as full at front and getting out of courtyard could be a little less hit and miss with exit and entrance Doors! We were on first floor and doors slamming very early below and also on corridor there should be improvement to closing springs. We made conscious effort to close ours quietly but easy just to just let slam. This spoilt what was an almost faultless stay. This could so easily be remedied. Dining - Also do not like wooden platters for food. Have no idea why you would chose this. I am probably being picky but there is no need. Various reasons, hygiene - can something that has had pork or fish (although cooked) be easily sterilized and does this not just make unnecessary extra work. I am not a health freak but you cannot improve on plain china unless trying to be trendy and you do not need to do this.
the staff were very welcoming. room was clean and well maintained. breakfast was very good. ideally situated for visiting the town, quay and dorset.
biggest gripe is that the parking is almost non existent. for my own convenience I used the council office car park about 500mtres from the hotel. between 7pm to 9am costs a pound. hotel is situated on a main road which can get noisy.
It was so hot and unbearably uncomfortable due to the lack of air conditioning. When we complained about this the staff agreed and tried their best to help out by changing our room and providing fans but it was still stiflingly hot and the staff asked us to complain because it has been going on so long and they have asked so many times for it to be sorted without success. Everything else was fine.
All staff were so welcoming and friendly, high level of cleanliness, so sensible twist on accessing wifi through giving personal details instead of crazy passwords
car parking and then car park escaping
Large clean rooms, good bathroom, clean sheets. soft comfortable mattress. Good choice of breakfast.
Food not cooked properly needed to return sausage, sausage can be unhealthy and could have made me ill if eaten uncooked I was then put off the rest of my breakfast. For this reason I would not return.
Staff were really helpful and friendlly. Lovely hotel in good location. Breakfast was excellent!
The staff are outstanding and could not have been more helpful
Being aware of traffic noise for rooms at the front of the building
It was a lovely clean comfortable hotel right in the heart of Christchurch and all that this town has to offer. Beautiful location with easy access to the sea.
Receptionist was learning the job and couldn't find the booking seemed unclear about things and didn't even think to ask my name at check in so we were held up checking in.
