Good breakfast Staff attentive and friendly
Being woken up at 5.30am by mechanical road sweeper, binmen and market traders unloading goods. Noise went on and on including local church chimes every hour throughout the night. No immediate parking. No lift & extremely steep staircase of four flights. Broadband didn't work in room and TV only intermittently. Room extremely tight as a double.
Staff very obliging and helpful. Food was wonderful. Brilliant base for visiting the town and surrounding areas.
bedrooms need updating
The King's Head staff were very friendly, the hotel was spotlessly clean and it is in a good central location.
Staff were great
Shower needed to be cleaner
Excellent Staff. Very Clean and Comfortable Room. Very Tasty Breakfast. Would and Will Stay at this Hotel Again.
Comfy clean room
Great location Breakfast room decor Friendly waiting staff at breakfast.
Stayed during the heatwave and would have liked to been able to open windows wider to get fresh air.
Room location teapot with tea making equipment
Good breakfast Nice and helpful staff Good value for money Good location in centre of Abergavenny
Nicely decorated, spacious rooms (nr 1 & 3) with pleasant outlook over main street. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order.
Very uncomfortable, thin matress. Not even a hook for over-bath shower head - just hand-held. Lighting too poor to read.
Breakfast, Courteous staff, Central location, Large room (for a single), LOTS of mains sockets in the room (and in places where they are actually useful !)
Reception not obvious - just a pub, Fiddly shampoo and shower gel sachets (and not enough for an overnight stay !)
Good location, friendly staff. Good breakfast.
No restaurant on Sunday evening.
Some staff tried to be helpful.
Owner/manager extremely obnoxious .food unacceptably slow to appear and largely inedible. Debit card number used prior to checkout. Very disappointing. Avoid at all costs.
Being in town centre Close to restaurants etc
Great location in centre of Abergavenny. Very helpful staff
No complaints at all
The bed was really comfy, a goodnights sleep. Lovely breakfast with friendly helpful staff
Being in the centre of town Being right above the market place. An old place full of atmosphere. A good breakfast
Can be noisy downstairs.
Friendly staff and good location.
Knackered mattress, sloping bed, TV didn't work, shower poor - Room 10
We were two guys starting a walking holiday and the Kings Head was a great starting point. Friendly staff and good food. Good central location. Clean comfortable rooms..Recommended.
Overall the room was pleasant and clean
You cannot get food on Tuesday evenings in the restaurant and there is no car park , you have to use the public car park about 5 minutes walk away
Excellent room and staff who went out of their way to assist the guest.
As the building is very old, it does not have a lift for those who struggle with stairs.
