Very good value for money, half the price of Travel Inns. Included cooked breakfast. Real old pub not plastic like hotel chains. Not great but all about the price!
Feels like it is about to close down, seems to be struggling.Locals not very friendly.Bit warn out.I would stay again due to price and near to MK
East for location of Silverstone. Breakfast was good choice
Smell from bathroom
Beautifully dressed restaurant table, fresh linen with generous soft linen napkins, Restaurant staff were the proprietor's children, so professional I could have cried with the sheer pleasure of it all.
Nothing - other that is than the pub company who lease the premises. Punch Taverns had a huge to let sign on the front of the pub, an unacceptable put down for the current tenants. No small wonder that their debts are slowly grinding them into the ground! Let us hope it continues and we get breweries back to leasing pubs in the future!
Going for a beer at the green man down the road and sung their wifi
Drawings on the wall of penises No wifi in room Toilet seat broken Place to stay for workmen View of rubbish in back yard Breakfast was ok but area was full of work mens breakfast plates
Lovely oldie worldie Pub with real charactor food good.
Place was in need of repair. tiles in bathroom broken damp patches round window. Carpets worn.
shower tray had a leak which caused damp in the shower room wall
I liked everything and would make it my first choice if I had to stay in that area of the country.
The shower only had enough hot water for one shower in the morning.
Rooms are separate from pub. Nice warm room for price. Food in pub brilliant. Good value for money and would stay again.
Could do with a coat of paint. Pub is up for sale.
The price. If you don't expect too much then you won't be disappointed. This room was actually in the pub (attic).
Nowhere to park other than on the road, no bath (only a shower, in a cold bathroom), single glazing so cold and noisy, trouble paying - their card machine was playing up.
the price , a nice breakfast , cheap drinks
its a little out the way of things
Very comfy bed, cheap, excellent location near Silverstone circuit.
Marks on floor in bedroom, not overly welcoming when we arrived - not unpleasant but "distant". Breakfast was disappointing with chipped crockery, small (we have large appetites!) portions and we had to ask for toast for our full English which we had finished when it eventually arrived.
Breakfast, not as good as last stay here.
The quality of the food for the evening meal was lovely. The bed had clean linen and i enjoyed a good nights sleep
The pub was cold and dark, not well lite The metal stairwell to the room was quite steep and slippery when wet, older people may struggle
Great pub. Good beer. Really nice bedroom and bathroom in separate building next door. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location to get to Silverstone race circuit.
Slightly hard to park car round back of pub but got it in ok next to the other 2 with a bit of work
Bed was clean ..
A grim establishment , the photos shown on booking websites are either very old or before the existing management took over I think it could be a trade description violation .. The room was dusty and in total disrepair, carpets badly stained . the door to the room was unpainted ! Breakfast was burnt on both mornings and had a decidedly tainted taste .. This place has to avoided unless desperate ...
not enough room
location close to whittlebury hall. relatively cheap price.
old mattress, bathroom items dumped near parking area.everywhere looking tired and dirty.needs coat of paint and cleaning regularly.english breakfast generally burnt and cooked in either old oil or old equipment.
Built around 1650 it is very old without a straight line anywhere. Lovely :)
Suited me down to the ground. A country village pub with rooms across the car-park. Basic but what I wanted. 10 mins from M40.
Basic but good value
The room was a good size for the price and warm. The double bed was comfortable & clean. There was ample storage in the room for clothes.
The decor in the room was 'very tired'. There were damp patches all up one wall and mould was apparent in the shower cubicle.
The gentleman was kind the towels and bed linen was clean
Charming 16th century public house - one of only two with accommodation in Syresham - good food and excellent company. The bar menu was extensive, food well-prepared and of very good quality. Relatively easy access off the motorway. Quiet surroundings. Frequented by locals, who were quick to make visitors welcome.
WiFi is available only in the public areas, not in the rooms. Parking is on-street only, first-come, first-served.
The young couple had obviously worked hard on this enterprise, popular with locals they must have done an awful lot right
the building was tired, needed an injection of cash and support from the owners.
