The Kings Head

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had good facilities. We ate in the evening at the pub and the food was great and the cooked breakfast was on of the best we had ever had the following morning.

The only thing was the lack of off street parking. Luckily it was a very quiet and safe village but was a bit uncomfortable leaving car on main road.

From promotion on web site expected an old hotel didn't expect to be in a poor barn with food not available re Sunday. Wifi advertised as free couldn't be obtained because receptionist/barmaid too busy and didn't have code. Room very small and door to bathroom couldn't be closed not good when sharing room with unfamiliar collegue when complained told no other room available pity because a different bed would have been good the one I had had springs poking into my back all night.when these defects were mentioned to "manager"his only comment was that no one had ever complained before.well I suggest that he tries to sleep on those protruding springs in a tiny barn space without toilet privacy. Thanks to Internet we now can give feedback of our experiences .

Very good staff and warm welcome. Steaks are excellent and wine cheap by the bottle.

Oven chips are poor and did scant justice to the steak meal.

Noisy due to poor wall structure

The accomodation appears to be very basic at first, but has all the essentials for a short stay. Everything works, and the rooms are spotlessly clean The restaurant is excellent.

Pedeo and his staff where very welcoming, room bit out dated but everything clean and all amenities. Cooked breakfast was best had some time very good value for more would stop here again

Friendliness and welcome from Patricia, member of staff. Accommodation good, location OK for my purposes. Breakfast freshly cooked and landlord provided a good quality of coffee.Open wood fire in bar makes it very cosy. Overall a good economic stop. Would use it again.

In en suite facilities, toilet seat not secured by two attachments below, one missing, making it unsafe.. Reported to landlord.
