In the center of picturesque Chipping Camden, The Kings Arms is a 17th and 18th-century heritage-listed townhouse in the beautiful Cotswolds, combining traditional character with contemporary style. There are stylish, private bedrooms in the main hotel and a few new, refurbished luxury bedrooms located in the newly renovated cottage. All rooms have a flat-screen TV and luxurious toiletries. The Kings Arms has a cozy, welcoming restaurant that serves AA Rosette-awarded standard cuisine that is locally sourced. During the summer months, guests can dine outdoors in the terrace or grounds. The friendly and informal bar is great place to socialize and enjoy drinks or snacks. Hotel Rooms: 12

Hotel has obviously been refurbished and is tastefully done. We paid for an upgraded room but were disappointed with the facilities provided. It was not value for money - we have just received the brochure for Rick Stein's hotel in Padstowe and we could have stayed there for 2 nights with dinner included, for less than the price of b&b at the Kings.

Location is excellent; peaceful ambience. *Room was cold- no heating available from heaters. Poor checkout service- elementaary mistake in calculating the bill - staff didn't like this being pointed out, design in the room was lacked any sense of coordination - a pity since this could enhance the atmosphere. Evening meal was noit value for money- quantities minimal for the price charged - main course too salty and it is irritating to find in a small menu choice supplements on an already small amount on the plate. As a single diner it was irrittaing to find the staff automatically wanted to place me in the furthest corner of the restaurant- out of sight of others.

Loved the location. Picture postcard village. Lovely garden terrace on a warm evening. Flowers, trees, birds and bird-song, delightful. Bedroom decor pleasant, bed comfortable. Overall nice hotel. Disappointed with poor quality of hand-held (over-bath) shower which was just a trickle. Wobbly poorly fitted toilet sea. After long day travelling would have liked a bar meal at 7.30pm or 8.00pm but this was not possible as the kitchen was "too busy". We could have eaten later but this wasn't what we wanted. Manager did tell us that they will be refurbishing some bathrooms.

Brought back many happy memories - I used to stay there every month when I was working some years ago - It has of course been radically changed since then, for the better I think As ever it was very noisy (from the street) from very early in the morning - there was a delivery of fish to the hotel at 03.15!!!

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The room was incredibly comfortable and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff were over stretched had to wait a long time for food but even though they were very busy they were very helpful and polite.

Very nice evening meal in restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was small with very small window very high up so a bit dark and stuffy. Sound on television did not work properly.

“Excellent location in the main street of Chipping Campden. Our room was a good size with our own patio area accessing the back garden area. Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend the Indian restaurant located within the Inn for a meal. Food was excellent. Would stay here again.” Jeanette, Seaton |
