Great service. The staff was very nice, professional and efficient. Great food. excellent value for money.
Fantastically accomodating staff from Reception to restaurant staff. Excellent food and wine. Clean room. Nice view to rear of building. Good quality toileteries. All in all a very pleasant stay in a lovely english heritage village.
The only minor fault we could find was a chip in a glass at breakfast.
Location - perfect for an overnight stay with time to really enjoy Chipping Campden Good food. Staff pleasant
It was a VERY expensive overnight stay given the limited facilities provided - no lounge in which to relax; Brasseire part of the bar with a through route from car park to reception for arriving and departing guests. Breakfast service disappointing -no large bowls for cereal; 3 pieces of toast for two people - had to ask for more.
liked location and hotel. Breakfast was really nice.
The room didn't have a shower because of the shape of the ceiling - would have like to have been given an option of a shower, Would have appreciated hand soap.
Room was ready when we checked in early. We were allocated a massive room. Staff friendly and attentive would highly recommend
all of our stay the staff were very good and attentive dinner and breakfast was amazing xxx
Cosy; comfortable; quaint
Had a cottage room which was lovely-the breakfast in the morning was very nice too-freshly cooked! Chipping Campden is a very pretty place lots of good english pubs and lovely food! Food at the hotel was excellent!
hallways were unlevel, cramped
the parking difficulties.
Excellent location, situated in a quaint area of the Cotswolds! Accommodation was full of character and charm!
Having to leave after such a short stay!
Gardens, modern room, good breakfast
Room was small with very small window
Central position in town, set back from the main road. Private car park behind hotel. Room 203 is spacious with a comfortable bed, it overlooks the High Street. Pretty gardens Good breakfast, freshly cooked. Evening meal available in either the Bistro or Dining room, book with RECEPTION to be sure of your preferred time and table. Steaks were very good
Steep stairs. Single glazing. Good shower but over the bath Single glazed windows so some traffic noise
Pillows far too soft!!
Excellent and Friendly staff .
cutlery and toiletries and the room was so homely and comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely breakfast.
Rude bar staff.
My fiancé and I stayed one night after a wedding nearby and were sad not to be able to spend more time here. The staff were friendly and always helpful, the hotel is modern yet historic and our room was stunning with simple extras like two rosy red apples on a plate! A welcome retreat in a beautiful Cotswold town, which we'll certainly recommend!
Wifi was pretty slow but maybe that was part of the plan to encourage you to switch off! We literally couldn't fault anything else!
Love the location and the atmosphere, very friendly and accomadating staff. Nothing too much trouble for them. Will stay again.
Location, parking, ambience, staff help, friendliness, responsiveness to requests about issues, garden, outside facilities.
Bed base, roominess of bedroom, bedroom fittings seem cheap, bathroom function eg no shaver socket
The Kings is aesthetically a lovely hotel and as such a great place to chill and enjoy.
Minor points, and Im sure the first was simply an oversight but there were no toiletries left in the room and as its something they make a point of advertising it was a little strange. We were in the cottage at the back of the hotel and the bathroom was massive and lovely but there was no heat on and as such it wasnt warm. Id also have to say though a deep freestanding bath centered in the middle of the room is visually amazing its rubbish when you want a quick shower in the morning.
The staff were very friendly and approachable. The room looked lovely and had a fab bathroom The food was excellent. Everything looked great and was clean
No wifi connection was a big problem as I had booked on the basis there was Internet connection to check on work emails and be able to FaceTime my kids The bed was not a Double bed but two twins pushed together so not a comfortable sleep as you could feel the separation under the sheets
Spotless rooms Very helpfull staff Lovely breakfast Free parking
great location, excellent food.
