Reception unmanned upon arrival Room untidy, nothing like advertised, useless curtains Breakfast very poor, table service shocking Shower did not work Certainly not value for money Will never go there again.

it was like staying at fawlty towers - the staff weren't very switched on!

The hotel was beautiful and very majestic. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful

the bed was lumpy

We liked the staff at the hotel. They were very friendly and professional.

Unfortunately we found the hotel very noisy because there was a function with loud disco and people in the room very close to our bedroom (20). Didn't sleep well all night. My husband's cooked breakfast was not good - two others were ok.

We enjoyed the time we were at the kings head and will return as we have family in the area we never ate in the hotel so I can not make a comment

Very cosy room, and old style wooden furnishings were awesome. Lounge with a fireplace is a perfect place to have a drink and a chat.

We were very impressed with this hotel ,the staff were gr3at ,the breakfast was fantatsic couldnt eat it all ,our bed in room 4 was a queen bed overlooking the market

Location and friendly atmosphere and staff

Our room was filthy. The bathroom had no toilet paper, still had damp towels in it and open toiletry bottles lying around. The bedroom obviously had not been cleaned. The floor had not been vacuumed, and there was a thick layer of dust on several items of furniture. There was also a substantial deposit of sand lying behind a curtain.

excellent location no need to use car

very limited choice of drinks in hotel bar. no white wine or bailleys available on the saturday evening of our stay. room very noisy due to close proximity to centre of town and market

The location is good ,the staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel has charecter.

The condition of the room was not good enough,the plumbing dated , you could hear between the rooms. There was noise all night from the street. There is no lift.It needs refubishing you would get a better deal at a bed and breakfast, overpriced for what it is offering.

Needs up dating looked like a lot of water damage in beadroom.

Room was comfortable Food & servive in restaurant on first night and the first breakfast was very good

The meal service in the bar on the second night was slow & inadequate The breakfast service on the second morming was slow and some of the food was cold.
