Located in Rob Roy country, beneath the famous Crags, The Knowe provides excellent accommodations to all types of travelers. The guest house has many original Victorian and Edwardian features, and natural woodland borders it to the rear. The front rooms overlook the picturesque town of Callander, Gateway to the Highlands, and enjoy truly magnificent views down the valley to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area famous for history and beauty. Great Location for a stop over or to stay and tour from. The owners are bikers like me and my mate and were only too happy to help out when my mate had a problem with his bike.If you stay you must have the haggis with your breakfast, its to die for!!!. Great atmosphere and would stay again.

It is in a great location and we had a beautiful view over the town and countryside from our window. The owners were friendly and were helpful at suggesting various walks we could go. Our room was clean and bright and the bed comfortable.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating, Knowe sits above the town and our room had a great view of the Trossachs and town. Large, spacious room with large windows and comfy beds, tea & coffee & biscuits provided. Plenty of TV channels via Skybox/freeview. Alcoholic treats in the evening and breakfast around a big table means you get to know people! Perfect stopover town for exploring the Trossachs. I did find the room a little dusty (I suffer from allergies) and it meant I woke up with a sore throat, but it's not a complaint - just one I have!!

Very nice, spacious room. Substancial breakfast. Pleasant lounge for guests. Very pleasant owners. Observations, rather than 'dislikes' : Found the double bed to be a bit small. Both remarked in the morning we felt we almost fell out.. Sky TV ...but 2 channels we tried not available [ Sport& Comedy]

We were very impressed by the welcome that we received. The owners were very hospitable. We had the Garden room which was large, well fitted, and with a big window view over Callandar. The bed was new, and the most comfortable we have ever slept in.The bathroom was great with a good powerful shower. There was plenty of heating. The breakfast was excellent with more choice than we have seen in large hotels and we particularly appreciated the fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt and the good quality marmalade and jam. This was an outstanding hotel experience and we would be happy to stay at Knowe Guest House again.

Really like the owners: delightful couple, very cheerful, down to earth. Enjoyed the communal breakfast table, opportunity to mix with the other guests, enjoying their company and their reasons for visiting.

The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly and the rooms were a good size and the beds very comfortable. The standard of cleanliness was excellent and the rooms had satellite tv and tea/coffee making facilities which is always a bonus. I would highly recommend this Guest House and would stay there again.

Owners very helpful in all things. Nineteen yes 19 steps up to the bedrooms, had we known this fact we should have found somewhere else to stay, as both myself and my wife are somewhat disabled.

Este b&b está en un buen sitio, con vistas preciosas al Loch Lomond, apartado del ruido de la carretera y no muy lejos del restaurante más cercano.La atención fue estupenda, nos informaron de dónde ir y qué ver con mucha amabilidad. La habitación muy bien decorada y cómoda, con vistas, muy agradable. El desayuno magnífico, con tortitas hechas en el momento. Muy recomendable, sobre todo para una estancia romántica. Como pasa en muchos de los b&b, el cuarto de baño era algo pequeño. La señal del wi-fi era débil en la habitación.

Nette Leute, geräumiges Zimmer, ruhige Lage, feines Frühstück. Im Badezimmer waren die Wasserhahnen zu kurz, sodass es schwierig war die Hand richtig unter den Hahn zu halten. Aber sonst war alles tip top.
