No info about wifi on arrival
Location - fab staff - welcoming and helpful food - delicious and varied furnishings - good combo of old and contemporary Comfort - lovely and warm . log fire too.
A small wish - comfortable/ snuggly sofas would have been most welcome for afternoon tea, after returning from a windswept day !
The drinks are very expensive 7.50 for a pint of lager
Hard to be critical of anything at all, we have been coming to dine for a long period of time and unable to fault. The staff have always been excellent and a credit to themselves and to the Manager. Food is as good as anything on offer elsewhere. On our last stay we were upgraded to a very special room with the compliments of the hotel. We would not consider staying or eating at any other place in the area. Long may the hotel be able to offer such a wonderful experience, such as dining while looking the magnificent views. Happy to recommend as a venue for the most discerning guest.
In all honesty, we liked each and every facet of what was available and would advise that it would be very difficult for anyone to find fault.
the room was a good size and the bed was comfy. there were 2 nice chairs to sit and read. good storage and tea, coffee and water. Tunnocks buiscuits too,mm! this is a comfy cleanfreindly hotel with good food and staff. I have also enjoyed the special wine nights they put on and it is closeto Nick Nairns cook school if you are going there
not a lot I didn't like really.
The double bed was quite small in length my partner who is six feet had to sleep with his feet out the bed. Tv is also tiny considering the price of the room.
Liked the food the view staff were very helpful
Really nice people, courtoisy, tea time with biscuits for free.
Lovely little hotel sitting right on the lake, very peaceful , staff were great and food was great can't wait to go back
Food Staff Views from hotel Location Decor.
Only plug available for kettle in bedroom was at floor level. Leaking shower door. Very soft mattress
The room was beautiful, with a view to match. Food was excellent. Service was friendly and first rate. Could not fault the hotel.
Communal/lounge area around bar was small. Would be good if they could make it bigger, eg around a nice fireplace area by the bar with lots of soft, comfy seating.
very beautiful , quiet country setting, good food, lovely
The setting The restaurant The cosy bar Cream teas in afternoon
No wi-fi in rooms
Beautiful location, lovely room, welcoming staff and a great place to revisit, time and time again.
Location and very nice staff
Breakfast was very poor, looked and tasted like it had hung around. My lightly poached egg had the consistency of a brick. I didn't eat much on a night, hardly any choice 1st night and food tasted like it was out of a packet.
Location ,staff ,rooms ,meals.
Amazing location. Wonderful food in the restaurant. Comfy bed
Quiet, friendliness of staff and the incredible position on the edge of the lake.
Small concerns- the bed was very soft and sagged a bit, the room was smaller than some. But these really did not detract meaningfully from a tremendous break there.
Great food,the trout was fantastic!
First class hotel in idyllic location. This is the place to relax and unwind. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Food very good.
