Location and very nice staff
Breakfast was very poor, looked and tasted like it had hung around. My lightly poached egg had the consistency of a brick. I didn't eat much on a night, hardly any choice 1st night and food tasted like it was out of a packet.
Location ,staff ,rooms ,meals.
Amazing location. Wonderful food in the restaurant. Comfy bed
Quiet, friendliness of staff and the incredible position on the edge of the lake.
Small concerns- the bed was very soft and sagged a bit, the room was smaller than some. But these really did not detract meaningfully from a tremendous break there.
Great food,the trout was fantastic!
First class hotel in idyllic location. This is the place to relax and unwind. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Food very good.
Having to leave such a lovely place
Loved the position of this hotel right on the lake. It is also convenient for visiting the Trossachs area. Very good value with comfortable accommodation and good facilities.
The breakfast was superb, location right on the water edge is fantastic, excellent restaurant for dinner. complementary afternoon tea was most welcome! Nice big bath and delightful toiletries.
The poor waitress struggled with opening a bottle of wine at dinner - training needed perhaps? I may be old fashioned but, a proper grapefruit spoon is nice as is a properly prepared grapefruit rather than one that looks like it has been butchered! The staff were lovely but perhaps a little hurried....
Beautiful location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent food.
The location at the lakeside was wonderful and the hotel was in keeping with its setting. On arrival we were invited to have a complimentary cream tea. Our room had a view of the lake and was very well appointed. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff were welcoming and the service was extremely good.
There seemed to be noise of tramping feet overhead during the night, which must have carried from somewhere else as there were no rooms above us.
Character accommodation in keeping with the surroundings. Staff very attentive and professional. Food very best quality and excellent value.
Friendly staff, great welcome. Food fantastic. Wonderful location.
Bedroom a little small and hoped for a view of the lake but we were a little late booking. Quite pricey.
We enjoyed the fantastic view and the dining experience right on the lake. Afternoon tea wasn't quite as nice as we'd hoped, but we missed it the first day and the staff let us come enjoy it the next day. Inchmahome Priory is just down the road and an enchanting place to visit. We will definitely return for a special anniversary.
Great location, right on the lake. Beautiful bar, lounge and restaurant with windows facing the lake. Great food. Our room overlooked the church and it had all complimentary items we might have needed. The bed was comfortable. The atmosphere was idyllic.
WiFi was not accessible from the room and was overall very slow.
Think they need to look at some of their staff . Some not all not very customer friendly or focused.
Warm welcome with complimentary afternoon tea consisting of constant supply of freshly made scones and tea and coffee. Excellent salmon dish in restaurant at dinner.
Twelve year old daughter requested hot chocolate at breakfast and was told they didn't make it in the morning. Have not encountered the problem in any other hotel or even in B and B.
Location Food Accessibility
Attention to detail in rooms was outstanding. Little extras, ie filter coffee and Tunnock's goodies in the room, as well luxury toiletries, little extras like cream scone and coffee on arrival make it more of a personal touch. Beautiful setting with views of the hills and lakes.
Watching the wind on the lake and enjoying an excellent dinner. Ospreys flying over the lake.
Nothing to dislike.
the staff all blamed booking.com for something they should have been in too of, staff were unhelpful in the situation and made me feel positively stupid. a long drive for nothing.
Location is fantastic, staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food is amazing and a great dinner menu with vegetarian options. Plenty of car parking at no charge. Only a few miles from Aberfoyle.
Wifi is intermittent once you are in your room. Double bed mattress needs replacing.
Setting was lively fab weather
