Excellent reception. Very good breakfast. The coffee was tops. Bed was comfortable. Appreciated the help given with local info.

Bathroom of my single room was not at the same standard as elsewhere in hotel

The staff where very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a very comfy bed and the restaurant was reasonable, although our wine was delivered to the table with the screw top still on and left for us to open.

The picture on the website is quite creative and gives the appearance that the hotel is linked to the historic building on the other side of the street. Thee was a lot of late night and early morning street noise. The building looks and feels tired and could do with a major facelift. The entrance from the Carpark is very rundown and there are banks of wheelie bins all along the alley you have to walk through.

Room was on the cold side of comfortable but probably we didn't set heating correctly.

Excellent situation for shops and restaurants / nightlife. Decent breakfast. Comfortable room apart from bed.

Rather noisy late Saturday night. Have stayed in quieter rooms in the past but didnt have a good view like we did this time. Bed extremely uncomfortable - hardly slept - could feel the springs. Complained in the morning and was told I would receive an email from the manager within 3 days. I am still waiting 10 days later!

Very few parking spaces so had to pay. Reception staff rude. Bathroom was tired and ugly for a 4 star hotel.

Location was good, rooms were adequate in size, public areas were smart. Breakfast good.

Lift very slow, shower didn't work despite complaining twice about it.

Location to Railway Station. Staff excellent accross the whole weekend, very friendly and welcoming.

The only small complaint was a 'fusty & damp' smell in the bathroom.

The staff- The Breakfast - The Bedrooms- the Bar Area - The Bar Meals- And it was queit for in Town - The Shops - The Bars in town- So close to the Motorway- Easy to find.

Car park, there isnt really one. Very small and once full then you have to use the Railway station or public ones outsde in the town. Could do with upgrading the lift.

There were bugs crawling around at the base of the shower. I also left my very expensive I cream in the bathroom on the glass shelf and when I called to claim it I was told nothing was found. Which is a lie, I know it was there and cost more then a nights stay at the Hallmark. Very disappointed.
