We stayed overnight following an excellent Christmas party at the hotel. The bookings manager was particularly helpful in sorting out a problem with my booking which was entirely my fault.
Everything was good.
Breakfast buffet Central location Helpful Reception
Had to request a room change as the initial one was very cold .
Location was spot on and parking was good .
Breakfast was luke warm
Poor breakfast, tired staff who don't take responsibility. A rip off really!
Location, nice good friendly staff
Expensive for what was actually offered , we received a free breakfast what was very poor , room was very small and noisy , room was also very cold as the radiator wasn't on our entire stay bathroom very dated would have been cheaper and more comfortable in the premier inn or Ibis
Having stayed at many hotels throughout the UK this rankis as one of the best
Comfort of bed lovely breakfast friendly staff especially Richard the bar man
Next door to train station. Great food (gingerbread muffin yum). Pleasant helpful staff.
Excellent food, friendly staff, central location.
Breakfast & Dinner- food was high quality. Location was ideal
Access & parking
The room was terrible and I was led to believe this was supposed to be a 4* hotel.......
The Wi-Fi did not work in the room I was staying in.
Location was good, staff were friendly and pleasant.
The room was the bathroom was very clean and the room hoovered, but had not been dusted at all and we found someone else's underwear!! The instructions given to us with regard getting discount in the station car park were not clear so we did not get any discount.nowhere near as good as the Gloucester Hallmark
I liked the helpfulness and friendliness of staff, how handy the location is, and the choice of menu in the restaurant.
Mildew on the shower curtain, stains on the top cover on the bed, which I chose to take off completely, and although unavoidable due to location, the noise at night.
Booked a single room (113) which actually had a 3/4 bed., with a wardrobe, desk and table and chair. Have stopped in smaller double rooms and paid more. Great location for centre of Carlisle and nightlife. Friendly staff
Car park was a bit small and awkward when full. But not impossible.
breakfast was stone cold, did not complain as was in a hurry, other guest's did
Staff so helpful
The smell from the toilet room 317
Friendly staff, good location and excellent breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
Food was lovely with a good choice . Beds extremely comfy. Staff were very helpful .
Bathroom a little dated .
Good central location Comfortable bed Excellent breakfast Friendly staff
Cramped room and bathroom Noisy revellers outside (and inside!) hotel until well into next morning Limited parking; use of alternative gets expensive especially if you move your car during the day
very noisy, bed uncomfortable, bathroom dirty, coffee cold at breakfast sent back but came back still cold.
Decor could do with a lick of paint maybe a refurb
The welcome by the receptionist was excellent. The room was very pleasant with good facilities. The ballroom was magnificent for the party and everyone there had a good time. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful and efficient.
Parking was a little difficult, mainly due to small spaces and bad parking from other users. The en suite area was rather tired but did not bother us too much for a one night stay. We found the room rather dark even with all the lights on!
Located right next to train station. The lobby, bar, and restaurant were very nicely decorated and kept up well. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Walls were very thin. Could hear entire conversations from room next door. Furniture showed signs of much use, scratches. Had to call front deck for a space heater as the broiler heating didn’t work in my room. Hallways had a musty smell.
Tired looking hotel and room, average food
