Location was good, rooms were adequate in size, public areas were smart. Breakfast good.

Lift very slow, shower didn't work despite complaining twice about it.

The staff- The Breakfast - The Bedrooms- the Bar Area - The Bar Meals- And it was queit for in Town - The Shops - The Bars in town- So close to the Motorway- Easy to find.

Car park, there isnt really one. Very small and once full then you have to use the Railway station or public ones outsde in the town. Could do with upgrading the lift.

Had a fab time at hallmark. Everything is only a short walk from hotel. would defo recommend :)

Its location to the train station.

There were bugs crawling around at the base of the shower. I also left my very expensive I cream in the bathroom on the glass shelf and when I called to claim it I was told nothing was found. Which is a lie, I know it was there and cost more then a nights stay at the Hallmark. Very disappointed.

We have stayed here many times during the last 3 years and it never dissapoints us.

Proximity to the Station, very comfortable room and plenty hot water! Also and excellent breakfast.

Prices of a glass of wine rather expensive I thought.

The staff were excellant and the food was of a very high standard. The hotel is neat and fashionable.

The bed was most uncomfortable. Just lumpy and horrible.

Dinner was expensive for a souffle which had to be cut with a knife and fork (not charged for this though as staff agreed it was not a souffle!), and a meat/dumpling dish served without any vegetables.

Central to city and station

reminded me of a hotel that you would stay in on your travels( a stop gap)

Fantastic location . Literally next to the railway station but no noise from trains! Great full Englush breakfast . Polite and friendly staff. Pleasantly surprised by modern room in such an old building . Fab all round!

We didn't like being woken at 6-6.30am on Sunday to the pub emptying the empty bottles into their bins/skip. There was no secondary glazing in the bedroom (there was in the bathroom) and therefore it didn't deaden the sound of the bottles being emptied and it got cool quickly if the heater wasn't on. The thermostate on our shower didn't work. We couldn't have a shower. Thankfully there was a bath. We would have asked to change our room but we were only staying for two nights. We are unsure how this could be rated as a 4 star hotel.

Rooms were nice, beds comfortable. Good menu, lovely food.

Room was at front of hotel, very noisy, people going for taxi's, to train station, pubs, disco's coming out, didn't have a good night's sleep, child was scared with all the shouting, swearing we could hear!

A very small single room

We booked an Executive Room and found it very spacious, quiet and very clean. All staff were excellent and friendly and the food in the Hotel was first class ... very happy with this Hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, they let us drop our bags off a few hours before check in. The breakfast was delicious and serve yourself. The hotel looked very posh and quite standard but the room was quite quirky. The room had a Comofortable bed. Perfect location for shops, station and restaurants.

I know it is next to the station, but because the room was hot we had to open the window and therefore was rather noisey, if there was air con this would not be the case. The weak shower. The remote for the tv was faulty.

Location is great for motorway access. The Railway Station is a few steps away and the food and drink establishments are just a few minutes walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was comfortable. An enjoyable stay with a few minor issues.

Loud nightclub next door on three out of four nights over Easter. The bathroom in our room needed a refurb.
