Everything you would expect from a really old Inn. We loved our suite.....low ceilings and beams with thick walls and doors! Food very good and breakfSt lovely. Staff friendly.
Very loud music on the Sunday early evening in the bar when we were there. Spoiled our quiet afternoon in our suite.Didnt expect " rock 'n roll " music in the Cotswolds! Not cheap .......!
The friendly, helpful staff and the general atmosphere of of the Inn
Not getting phone/ wifi signal. The heavy duvet
beautiful setting in a lovely village eddy our dog made very welcome food excellent
no shop in village
I felt like back the 14th century of the England. Very localization place. Nice breakfast & dinner cusine. Really enjoy the time during the stay.My parents like the place.
The location was excellent in a charming quiet village but close enough to interesting places without having to drive too far. The Lamb Inn is quirky and cosy and the bedrooms were very nicely decorated and bed and bedding excellent.
There is nothing we didn't like about the Lamb Inn
Staff friendly, Food excellent, clean and cosy environment
Noisy water tank in our room
Peaceful location, a very friendly atmosphere, staff were very accommodating and friendly without being intrusive. Very nice food.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was just what I expected a Cotswold location to be - a little isolated and very English countryside. Loved it!!
The suite room was very comfortable and heating very nice, Bar was efficiently run.
Food was basic but on the expensive side. Choice of real ale beers was limited.
Location and setting very pleasant and convenient. Parking is easy and close. Food at breakfast was good, as was the choice.
For £100 per night this room is unacceptable. It's like a recently converted, in haste, storage area! Above the bar so continuous noise from late afternoon until 11.30 or later. Very small for a double, it only has a bedside cabinet and light on one side. Shaver point is inaccessible. Glass shelf too wide so can't bend over sink. Toilet seat falls. Toilet door doesn't stay closed. Bare walls - no pics. Basically spartan, pokey and bleak. Waitress brought wrong eggs at breakfast. I checked what I had said with my husband before telling her. She repeated, twice, "I heard poached" when I politely pointed this out. Others looked surprised at her reaction. Although she did change them I felt wronged and this spoilt the occasion. If you book here you must check in advance it isn't room 5!
Assistance by staff on arrival. Terrace garden. Restaurant dinner and breakfast. Ease of location and parking across the road.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent.
Smokers outside in the courtyard.
Helpful staff , good food .
We Thought we would be closer to burton on water . Room over bar so a bit noisy till people left .
Well located for exploring the Cotswolds, the Lamb Inn has great character and offers good food at reasonable prices. Comfortable bed, clean room with plenty of space.
Breakfast commenced quite late (8.30am) which made getting away for travel a bit difficult. Wi-fi only vailable in public areas.
This is a great place to stay in the English countryside (Cotswolds area)! The Inn itself is in a very charming, very old building, and we stayed in one of the small rooms upstairs of the main house. It was really charming, quiet, and the beds were pretty comfortable. The room and other facilities were clean and accessible, and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. We would definitely stay here again! The food was really excellent, which I was not expecting. We had a late dinner the night we arrived and breakfast the next morning, and both were great. The Lamb Inn is pretty easy to find, but some of the roads around that area are narrow and tricky to navigate, so keep that in mind when planning your travel (definitely worth the effort to get there, though).
Everything was great. Beds could have been a little more comfortable, but that did not really detract from our experience.
location was lovely, area was lovely..
To many insects getting into rooms, spiders, woodlice and few earwigs..
The location was excellent, close to lots of beautiful Cotswold towns yet set in a quiet rural village - perfect for a pre dinner stroll down to the pretty church. The pub itself is very pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful, we ate dinner in the bar and the food was good. . The breakfast was outstanding- lots of choice and large portions.
The room was rather cramped and lacked ambience with only a double bed and a chair fitting into the space. The shower room was even tinier with no room to dry off after a shower.
The village of Great Rissington was a delight. Quiet, nice to take a little walk. Parking was on site and our room was just across a small courtyard. The room was in a very nicely converted stable building. Everything was very clean, the TV worked well, and the bed was very comfortable. We ate supper at the restaurant and it was excellent and good value at 10-15GBP. The local beers were fun to try, all good, of course. The breakfast was very good and the wait staff were pleasant.
Attentive but not fussy staff. Friendly cheerful service. Locals enjoying themselves in the bar. Our room down the garden path in a separate building. The silence outdoors in the evening.
Staff was very polite. Food and breakfast were exellent. Rooms are spacy and very clean. Hotel is located at a very nice position.
Very expensive for what hotel offers. Noise from the boiler/heater during all night. These are inside the room in a cupboard. Floor is creaking.
Loved the character of this Hotel, comfortable beds and roomy ensuite. Great restaurant, breakfast and dinner was really good, waiters/waitresses were excellent! Well situated to see all the wonderful towns the Cotswolds have to offer. Terrific experience, would definitately recommend!
Could do with a bit of renovating without spoiling the oldness of it!
What did we like....everything !! Staff were very friendly and welcoming as were local people in the pub. Highly recommend to everyone. Food was fantastic and all locally sourced....very impressed.
Great breakfasts and best steak and ale pie we tasted in England.Very attentive, efficient and welcoming staff.
The room was a nice size and was very clean. There was a nice breakfast display, with a variety of choice. Staff were friendly. Especially one of the lady waitresses.
We stayed in the Burford suite which was quite noisey with people exiting the pub late at night, people sat outside, hearing noise from what we assumed where the kitchen. In the morning it was very noisey when cars passed, woken at 5:30am. Walls are quite thin so could hear other guests at times. Bathroom door latch needs repairing. Pillows are soft and quite flat however we used the cushions available to get more comfy. Although I slept for a few hours, my other half had a popes nights sleep. He found the bed very uncomfortable. It appeared to be two twin beds pushed together.
