The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was lovely, including a very large cooked breakfast that set us up nicely for the day! The room was very pretty with lots of little added touches and very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel and would stay again for another special occasion.

Beautiful old Inn set in tranquil surroundings just off the main high street of Burford. Staff polite and friendly but not intrusive. We were upgraded to the Shepherd room with beautiful furnishings and comfortable fourposter bed, we felt quite spoilt! Food from bar menu was excellent as were the breakfasts. Range of cozy seating areas downstairs. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we shall be returning.

We wanted a short break where we could relax in comfort rather than luxury with good food , comfy surroundings and log fires along with good service. The Lamb ticked all the boxes. Thank you. Whilst we loved the abundance of log fires, we found our relaxation was spoiled by the fact that sometimes the lounges were filled with smoke which was sometimes so bad we had to move to our bedroom. We think this problem with the fires should be sorted. It would definitely put us off coming again.

We like the Cotswolds, especially old Inns. Many exist over the Cotswolds & their standards are high. The Lamb is quaint & in an enjoyable area. Parking is Burford is a problem, but that is the same for most of the Cotswolds.

The settin of the lamb is beautiful and the staff are friendly. Personally i found it was very expensive for what it is. The room was very small and the shower was totally inadequate. My girlfriend who is 5,8 was too tall for the shower! The room was also very hot.

The hotel was recommended to us by a friend and it more than lived up to its reputation. The staff in particular were excellent and helped to make our 30th wedding anniversary extra special

The feel of the history of the place. Cosy bar and lounge areas with lovely furniture and well decorated rooms. Very attentive and friendly staff. An excellent location in a beautiful village. Only thing I would say is that the ensuites are very poor. Showers very weak and could do with upgrading soon!

The staff were great... It was fantastic to be able to sit up late without pressure in the log burning lounge.. Greatly relaxing and amazing hot chocolate ... the staff were so interesting too... And very polite and attentive.. After much travelling its good for people to be understanding.. The showers not so good static and leaky... The condensation was a problem in the two rooms we were in.. And the tv was problematic re the atmosphere and reception..but these were compensated for the excellent staff ..

Attractive, quaint boutique Inn. Room furnished tastefully and clean and comfortable. Dismissive attitude of young staff team to needs of patrons. This will prevent me returning or recommending this hotel to anyone else.

Nothing to dislike about The Lamb, it lived up to expectations and we had a wonderful time both there and touring The Cotswolds. The staff were excellent, the food outstanding (esp Breakfast) and the rooms were brilliant - what a place to stay. We will return!

Rooms were lovely, very comfortable and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and pleasanrt. To go into the hotel after a brisk walk on autumn day and have the logs blazing away in the fires was very welcoming. Lovely location.
