The garden The public rooms
Impossibly small shower room made from a cupboard. Overpriced for inadequate room. Poor wifi connection. Watery porridge Eggs benedict... sauce tasted from a jar...
Attention to detail and facilities provided in rooms. Food good and breakfast very good staff polite and helpful. Have been to the Lamb twice and The Bear once part of the same group. Would always stay there if in Burford.
the wi-fi a bit of a pain as every time you have re register even though you are asked if you are a returning customer it keeps coming up with e mail address already used gave up in the end didn't bother to use it anymore.
Ambiance. Food. Comfort. Peacefulness
A lovely old building in the heart of Burford - enjoyed tea in the courtyard and garden. Staff always helpful.
Food slightly over priced and not of the quality we expected. Room was quite small and no bath - shower room was also very small so nowhere to put anything.
Beautiful hotel with very warm staff
Nice environment, cosy hotel, reception friendly when arriving
service in the garden. Too slow and inacurate. When sleeping in a room facing the street very noizy from early in the morning.
Delightful garden, nice atmosphere about the place and very comfortable bedroom.
No hand rail for the shower/ bath. Dangerous Stairs to access room. Not good for the elderly which we are.! Fire door very hard to open if you are on the wrong side of the door.
The character of the building, the quality of service, perfect location, excellent food.
Lack of nearby near by, but not a major problem
Staff were helpful. Dining room was very good.
Parts of inn looking a little rundown.room very small.
Everything, beautiful hotel and gardens, lovely friendly staff and great food.
It was all just sooo lovely, the staff could not be faulted, the food was lovely, everyone was so attentive but not intrusive would definitely recommend
Too much attention
Beautiful period building. Helpfulness of staff.
Décor, ambience, style, food, all excellent.
staff too attentive at dinner! Need some space to enjoy the excellent food!
Staff were excellent, all very professional yet friendly and welcoming.
Cleanliness generally was good to very good but there was specs of black mould in the natural stone tiles of the shower that were slightly off putting. Scrubbing these correctly would make all the difference.
Friendly, professional and very attentive staff. Great food. Beautiful buildings and surroundings including a terrific garden area to eat / drink / relax. Wonderful location.
No mobile phone reception, and it took a while to get the wifi connection to work
Loved it all, staff fabulously helpful, food great room very comfortable whole place a pleasure to visit.
Lovley hotel in a lovley town breckfast was good
1. rip off price for a tiny room with no view - far too expensive and poor value for money - would expect a suite for that amount 2. foreign staff who didn't know the gender of my name 3. lights were hanging out of ceiling in shower - health and safety 4. dirty bathroom and black hairs in the shower 5. animal hairs in the bed 6. coffee machine didn't work 7. out of date yogurts at breakfast 8. Burford was such a let down 9. Builders next door were at work at 7am 10. no late bar
I stayed at the Lamb 10 years ago. It was all round excellent then and this has not changed. Staff cannot do to much, Place is spotless, Food could not be improved upon, Location is right in the centre of Burford. What else is there to add
Beautiful comfortable cosy room. Staff very accommodating.
Terrible shower, no water pressure :(
Beautiful building with well presented rooms and grounds. Feels and looks like luxury accommodation - but still retains the charm of an old building. Breakfast was excellent.
The level of service at The Lamb Inn wasn't quite up to the standard I would expect of a hotel charging almost £200 a night. Staff were very good...but only once you'd managed to get their attention. Perhaps a bit thin on the ground during our stay. Food from the bar/fireside was average.
The welcome from the staff after a long journey. cosy, and so comfortable. excellent service.
We found nothing to dislike!!
We had a fairy tale stay at the Lamb Inn. Perfect location to go off for the day to the different towns. Perfect time of year first week in May. Slept with windows open and all the flowers were in bloom and the air smelled heavenly. Beautiful room and bath, staff could not have been more attentive and the food was delicious. Would love to go back and stay again. Very happy guest!!!
