Awesome staff arranged late checkout and complimentry prosecco, made getting ready simple.
An excellent place to stay. Accommodation superb. Food superb. Service Superb.
Excellent accommodation and service. Great food and relaxing environment to end a busy day.
Busy noisy road
Lovely staff and an excellent, clean and spacious room with great facilities. Spectacular breakfast!
There was nothing to not like!
Lovely modern cottage, excellent service, clean, comfortable, fab food at the pub, friendly staff, ideal location for site seeing and wildlife.
One small negative, some traffic noise as on main road, didn't bother us.
Stayed 2 nights here last week and it was a great experience, helped even more by the weather which made dinner in the garden looking at the superb countryside views a bonus. Meals both evenings were really excellent and a credit to the owners and the chef. I shall be back! .
Lovely location and very tastefully restored with all mod cons very comfortable.
We were missing bedlinen for the pull out sofa so this was brought to us later and at breakfast we did not have enough cutlery.
Great amenities and facilities for both adults and children. Excellent location for places such as Bath, Stonehenge, Lacock and Salisbury. Comfortable beds and staff very friendly and helpful.
No bath which made bathing our 14 month old tricky
We stayed for two nights in one of the cottages with my three year old boy.It was a great base for our day out to Longleat Safari park. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. The owners were very friendly. We didn't have breakfast but the owner offered to bring over a cooked breakfast to the cottage if we wanted to order it, the night before. The cottage has a lovely view overlooking the countryside. We had an evening meal at the pub which was very nice.I can't complain about this but just to let you know the portions were on the large side. However my food was so tasty I managed to finish all of it.I'm a vegetarian and I can thoroughly recommend the vegetable Lasagne. We will definitely be going back in the near future.Thank you we had a great stay.
This is only a small negative. Its a shame there was no hair dryer or iron?We woke up exstreamly early both days as unfortunately the light woke us up as there are no black out blinds.
Size and quality of room. Staff Food Views
No wifi in room Loose toilet seat Not enough tea/coffee in room
The converted barn cottage was immaculate with great spacious accommodation and beautiful views
Accommodatin was very good
The jar holding the fruit juice had not been clenaed properly and the chefs hands could d owith a good wash
The room was also a self catering option with superb cooking & dining facilities, a very comfortable lounge and a good sized flat screen tv. Downstairs the bedroom was small, but comfortable and the bathroom contained a walk-in shower. The staff could not have been friendlier, more welcoming or more efficient. The food was excellent and the chef, Owain, is charming.
Privacy, space, facilities, comfort
Very nicely decorated gite. We only stayed one night and were welcomed but breakfast was a bit confusing as it was hard to find the staff as they do not live on site. Good breakfast.
great place to stay
The cottage for the price was amazing, I would recomend highly to anyone staying in the area. Food was also good.
I was the only one staying and no one lives on site although there is a number you can call.
Cottages were really lovely, comfortable and newly refurbished.
Restaurant food poor in evening and breakfast limited if you don't want a traditional cooked breakfast. Coffee and orange juice served at breakfast was also poor quality. Our room wasn't made up and manager said staff must have forgotten. These points are a shame as the rooms are lovely. This place would benefit from a good manager behind it.
Had no reply to message left on answer phone about collecting key. No blinds for velux roof windows. Was woken by Sun beaming in
What an absolutely lovely place to stay! A beautiful semi detached cottage with so much more to offer than just a standard hotel room. A modern kitchen/diner and lounge downstairs with a pretty bedroom and en-suite upstairs. Modern and excellent facilities. We had dinner in the restaurant, fantastic food and great service. Breakfast was also included in the price which was another bonus. Looking forward to staying again and would definitely recommend
We stayed in no 2, a two floor building next to the restaurant, which was very spacious, functional and clean. Very friendly management/owners and atmosphere typical of a good village restaurant/pub. The breakfast was excellent and wholesome. One or two small touches (hair dryer and shower hats) and it would be perfect.
The coq au vin was disappointing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was excellent, clean and in very good condition. Much more roomy than pictures show. Suggestions for improvement were to add wine glasses and iron/ironing board and a couple of other very minor items which would make the stay that bit more comfortable. The pub food was excellent and breakfast also of high standard. Parking on site right next to accommodation.
As mentioned a few minor items missing from accommodation. But other wise couldn't fault it.
After a long day at Longleat safari we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by the staff at the Lamb and they really couldn't have done any more to make our stay better. We ate in the lovely pub restaurant where the food and service was excellent and the cottage we stayed in was absolutely perfect, unlike a hotel room were able to put our little boy to bed and then relax downstairs in the living room for the evening. A hearty breakfast was included in the price too so all in all we left feeling extremely happy and satisfied with our visit to the lamb.
