Beautiful buildings and countryside
Condition of bathroom. in need of a refurbishment. Condensation all over window ledges that soaked my wash bag.
The room was very quaint and picturesque, the food was absolutley incredible and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in close proximity to oxford town centre, just a short drive to the Thornhill park and ride.
This gorgeous building is set in lovely surrounding and landscape, all employees make you feel like a welcomed guest from the moment you enter until you leave. The room was of a good size and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was first class... Looking forward to visiting again soon.
the room was spacious , shower was brilliant great big shower head, tv was good ,bed was comfortable ,always nice to get the extras I.e shampoo/conditioner bottled water
the mirror in the bathroom! Couldn't get close enough to the mirror to put my contact lenses in. Noise in the room could hear everything in the morning especially through next doors walls, heating system a bit difficult for people that perhaps don't know how to use it
Didn't see that pets were allowed and would not have booked if known - the thought of a dog in the room makes me feel sick - it was brought to our attention at about 1 a.m. when we were woken by a yapping dog - this went on for some time - i called reception to be told that he had just been by our room and heard nothing!! eventually it went back to sleep - thank god - how they can allow pets into the bedrooms is disgusting!!
The food was nice but a tad pricey. The staff were good .location excellent to the motorway Would stay again
The shower head in the bathroom was broken and the water came out in torrents forgot to tell staff when we left needs looking at asap .
Arriving, eating, relaxing, sleeping (lovely bed) and breakfast. Watching the magnificent Kites out of the bedroom window.
I had visited before and had been really impressed with the service and food in The Lambert Arms. I was pleases that this quality was still apparent on this visit.
We stayed in the Inn itself as at this time of year we thought it would be warmer. We were wrong. The room was freezing and although there was a radiator the single glazed windows that were covered in condensation counteracted any heat. The windows were covered in black mould and by the morning there were pools of stagnent water on the sills. The floor also felt damp, and you could feel that there were dips in the floor.
very helpfull staff, good clean comfortable room. good location, good breakfast perfect will use again.
The breakfast was very poorly cooked and presented.
Fantastic staff, good food and great location
Bed in room 4 at a strange angle!
everything was excellent the food was rather expensive but so we ate out elsewhere the party buffet was abundant and there was food left over which was better than I've had elsewhere all round excellent the bar and management staff were polite helpful and smiling all the way through but not false smiles conversational and joking impressed highly impressed
the night porter needs a bit of training as he couldn't operate the coffee machine other than that he needed help when I wanted 2 brandies he didn't know what it was or where to find it one of the young bar staff sorted it out thank you other than that we had an excellent party and a great night
All staff professional and pleasant
Getting up to leave!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very big with a lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Wish We'd had more time to try the restaurant as the menu looked lovely.
Didn't book breakfast as it seemed a bit pricey.
Location and breakfast were good plus points
Noisy room on front of hotel. Had to advise that bulb out in bedroom and plug in bath was stuck
The courtyard room was large with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was excellent with a large shower and corner bath. Food in the evening and at breakfast was good. We would stay here again.
There were no significant negative points to raise.
Pet friendly hotel
Unfortunately having a dog travel with us means we get allocated a shabby room
Friendly, helpful staff and a great size room.
Bath screen leaks and a broken gutter outside my window
Nice ambience, well trained and polite staff. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Nice, large bedroom with great bathroom.(superior room)
Unable to get any food at 2.45pm after 4 & a half hours drive! We went to the Shepherds Crook in the next village who made us super ham sandwiches even though they had stopped serving. Excellent customer service and a fine selection of real ales.
spacious room overlooking field, resturant was good food, bar drinks a bit expensive ( ex x2 double vodkas £17 with mixers ), pay less in london.
very remote, too quiet.
