a bit jaded in parts but fine for a night stop.
we had a great time at the langdales the location central to shops and resturants .staff friendly ,spa great for chilling out.we will be returing.
Location was very near Town Centre and easy walking distance to promenade. Breakfast was very nice and good value.
Room was nice but slightly dated in appearance.
The room was okay for the price paid, only problem was it was very noisy with traffic as hotel on a busy road. My partner used the swimming pool & jacuzzi & sauna he really enjoyed that. The breakfast was okay. Overall the stay was very enjoyable.
The road noise.
Staff friendly, breakfast good. Room spacious and quiet. Good price for a night's stay
Room needs updating. Biggest drawback was how early we had to have breakfast and checkout! No time to get up and relax. Had to be out by 9.30 so that was a big turnoff. Most hotels is it 11.00ish.
Entertainment on Saturday night was very good. Friendliness of staff and cleanliness of room, change of towels. The use of the pool.
Nice room, lots of hot water
No Earl Grey or fruit teas available
On arrival was helped with my cases to the room. Was a clean and pleasant enough room with small ensuite serviced daily. Was out most of the day and so was adequate for my needs.
Ensuite was very small, a larger person would have had a problem. Window had to be shut for security at night and although I live in Australia found the room overpoweringly hot - need aircon in Summer months. Breakfast was narrowed down to eggs tomatoes and toast as bacon hard and inedible and mushrooms tasteless. Need to lift their game with food. Did not try sausages. No atmosphere in dining room felt like an old persons care home! I feel this place needs to be updated - management seem to be coasting along and happy to provide services which would have been acceptable 50 years ago!
breakfast was very good indeed hotel generally clean and comfortable staff were very helpful location was super
the room on arrival could have been hoovered better our young 18month old toddler found bits of odd stuff on the floor
liked the friendly staff, willingness to please customers. They were happy to put a comfortable high backed chair in the room for my mother which was very helpful. the rooms were clean and staff came in to replenish items that were needed .
The only thing I would want to change is the kettle because the element in the kettle was stained and a little corroded,
great location during the 1940,s weekend and would definately stay again
no evening entertainment due to a private function and our rooms noisey due tu location of this private party..
the receptionist was very helpful
the bar area was being used as a laundry
Room wasn't serviced on 3rd day hence had to fone for bath towels.
Lack of parking. Cleanliness of bathroom was very poor, dirty marks were visable higher up on the tiles where there was an obvious line of dirt which looked like it had only been cleaned to head height. Shower curtain was restrictive making showering awkward as it was circular. Wasn't given a key to the front door upon check in and so after arriving back from our evening out we had to ring the front desk to be let in. Requested a late checkout at 12 however the cleaner was trying to open the door at 10. Breakfast wasn't the best and was swimming in cooking oil. Wasn't asked how our stay was on departure. All of these points are fairly miner but added up they made for a less than adequate stay for the price we paid. There was clearly a price inflation due to the Proms being on that weekend which we could have accepted if the service reflected, however we were rather disappointed and will look else where in future.
Family run hotel, really well trained staff friendly and helpful Bedrooms and bathroom very clean, smelled fresh food excellent wonderful breakfasts a wonderful 2 days 14th to 16th Aug 2014 Liz
nothing to put here
Excellent location, facilities and staff. Will return for another stay.
The location was convenient.
We arrived at 1.30 the check in time stated on our booking form and were told the room was not ready, to wait in the conservatory. After one hour, we were offered a drink. Fed up with waiting, we went away and returned at 4 pm. The room did not have a bath which I had requested. Then given another room which was ideal. Stayed at Premier Inn the following night in Southport for twenty pounds less and a much better experience. Sorry.
good location. staff friendly and very helpful. breakfast lovely
room and bathroom very compact, but ok for 1 night
Littlel bit noisy on busy road. Limited parking at weekends
Bar staff was rude, they ran out of breakfast items
Good bar facilities.
Room was not ready for check in. Lift not working.
Friendly and helpful staff
Warm welcome Comfortable bed Cleanliness Breakfast Leisure facilities
Parking was busy at the weekend
The staff were all really friendly and helpful.
We checked in at 17.30 on the Friday evening and the room wasn't ready, we had to wait - as did a number of other people. Annoying as many were going to the Proms which opened at 17.00. The fabric of the hotel was very poor and dated. The wallpaper was peeling, the blind in the bathroom was broken, no hot water after midnight. The temperature and pressure of the shower varied considerably on who else around the building was showering at the same time. We gave up on trying to figure out the lights and just left one on!!!! Breakfast was chaotic!!! The buffet was always in need of replenishment, we had to wait to be offered tea, etc. There was just not enough staff to cope with a busy breakfast.
convenient for what we needed.
The musty smell, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly.
