Score from 287 reviews Exceptional
The staff were great, the location is excellent. There is ample free off the road parking. The price would quite reasonable if the negative things could be rectified. The outdoor staircase was fine, however it may be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties.
The was litter around the car parking area and behind our outside staircase. The height of the jacussi bath was excessive, it was most difficult to climb in and there was nothing to hold on to except the taps. A step would be helpful and make it safer The WiFi connection, it was erratic and generally very slow. The lack of a refrigerator.
Warm, comfortable room Wifi
Room not clean on arrival, and cleaned intermittently, Soap dispenser never filled in bathroom, bath cleaned sometimes in 2 week stay, Key card for room often failed, needed recharging - worrying for returning late. One staff member v unfriendly/indifferent
This top barn family of 6 room was just perfect for our one night stay. Having two tv's was great so kids could watch their thing. Also free wifi a bonus. Jaccuzzi bath a great entertainer for the kids. We had breakfst in the pub which was lovely. Great location for visiting Bath or Bristol. Close to Mendip Ski centre. The staff found one of the kids devices hidden under a pillow just before we left so very grateful for that.
Nothing can't fault it, and for a room that can sleep 6 adults a bargain.
Breakfast was good. Room was lovely.
Nice cosy hotel.
The heating does not work properly. Only upstairs it was warm. All the heat escaped to the upper floor and the ground floor was freezing. Same applies to the bathroom.
Nice Large Family Room
The pub itself did not seem to cater for young children and thet got bored easily
Food in the pub was fantastic, could not fault it. Shower was great, nice and powerful, perfect size room for a couple to escape for a couple of nights!
Bed was too soft for my liking but partner slept fine
good quality room and facilities apart from the heating.
The room was cold and it took half the night for the electric radiator to warm the room on max. setting as the high ceiling made it difficult. The WC cistern had a leak which meant that it kept refilling with a whoosh every 10minutes or so. The bathroom was also cold and only heated by a towel rail.
The setting and layout are good the room decor and the room in general is good
It was a cold evening and the room was freezing we were given a small plug in fan heater but it made no difference
This was our 3rd stay at the Langford inn, and as always they never fail to deliver a great service and lovely rooms. The food is also delicious. We will certainly be back! Thank you x
Large, comfortable, clean room, attached to a nice friendly Village Pub, with excellent parking. Good value.
For a one night stop I can't think of anything I disliked.
Comfortable beds. Good English breakfast. Very quiet. We liked the booklet in the room with things to see nearby--because of this, we went to Glastonbury Abbey and thoroughly enjoyed it (though previously we'd not heard of it.)
Could not get the internet to work. Handicapped bathroom was large and spacious, but tile floor was really cold on the feet (heated floor would have been nice)
Character Friendly Staff Close to Bristol Airport
The size of the room was perfect for all of us. The first night there was a bit of a musty smell - think the room had not been used for a while - however they did put the heating on so the room was lovely and warm throughout our stay.
Slight musty smell on the first night.
Good food in restaurant ,
The staff were brilliant. They were very helpful.
The bathroom was a bit tired but did not detract from the overall look of the accommodation.
Lovely room. Comfy bed and good shower
Room was freezing when we got there. Heating wasn't on. Took ages to warm up. Would have been nice for the heater to be on when we got there. Wifi didn't work at all. Lasagna in pub was poor
The room that I was in did not have reliable internet access, I had to take the laptop outside to get a weak connection.
Good location for visiting our grand kids, but also walks in the nearby Mendip hills and Bristol less than 30 mins
clean comfy room next to a pub
The staff were wonderful and friendly and the rooms were furnished to a high standard.
I would have preferred a lock on the bathroom/toilet door (none of the 3 rooms we booked had these) and the signal wasn't fantastic on the wifi. Black pudding was not a favourite among the group, so would have liked someone to come round and ask what we would like rather than all get the same
Home from home, great food friendliness of owners and staff that make you feel welcome and comfortable. Nice choice of real ales and whiskey
Stayed here for one night before an early morning flight out of Bristol airport. Nice location, good sized bedroom & bathroom. Food in the pub was fantastic - fresh, homemade, full of flavour & reasonably priced.
Slept in an upstairs room which had a skylight next to the bed - there was a streetlight on outside that shined through the skylight - would suggest putting a blind over this?
Really close to the airport, these barns right by the pub are gorgeous and perfect for a family of four. Food was nice and service was great.
being woke at 3am by noise from the adjacent room, not shouting just a mother trying to soothe a young child, the isolation between the rooms was that poor
